No podÃa ser mejor: el clima del dÃa anterior (mucha tormenta desde el sur) habÃa dejado una visibilidad única e irrepetible. Como siempre viajo desde San Luis a San Juan, no pude evitar detenerme al ver que desde tan lejos se vieran los 2 colosos de la cordillera: a la izquierda el monte Aconcagua (6962 msnm), entero, en todo su esplendor, en la provincia de Mendoza y casi al lÃmite con Chile. A la derecha el monte Mercedario (6770 msnm) en la provincia de San Juan. Y yo apenas estaba en San Luis (cerca de Las Quijadas) a casi 400 kms de distancia, mirando asombrado a las 10.30 hs de la mañana. Sin dudas, 2 colosos de los Andes eternos. //

Un ensayo de arte digital y retoque fotográfico en un set especial para el evento de nuestra protagonista principal: Fátima Mirabile, que cumplió 15 años y tuve la gran suerte de ser quién realizará la producción para un de sus más importantes momentos (San Luis, Argentina).
Confieso que para mi fue un desafÃo, ya que nuestra Productora está comenzando a realizar este tipo de producciones especiales, con escenartios "virtuales" para provocar un impacto especial cuando se reproducen en video HD (Alta Definición) en la noche del evento.
Aquà ella mira por la ventanilla al planeta Tierra mientras viaja en su "nave" virtual. Espero les guste. //

Siempre tuve la certeza que al atardecer es cuando mas poesÃa se percibe en el ambiente. Es como si algo mágico sucediera. No es nostalgia porque un dÃa se va, o porque el sol comienza a esconder sus rayos, es porque noto que a pesar de todo eso, los colores dibujan casi siempre una agradable sorpresa. En esta ocasión subà al mirador mas alto de las sierras de San Luis, al filo entre Nogolà y RÃo Grande, 1958 mts snm. QuerÃa buscar una sombra de los picos del oeste en la Cordillera de Los Andes y no se dió porque estaba cubierta de nubes. Pero al menos, me entregó estos colores, siempre inéditos, siempre mágicos y los comparto con todos uds. //

El sol comenzaba a salir y nos encontrabamos en el medio de "Las Salinas del Bebedero" (ubicada a 30 Km. de la ciudad de San Luis, Argentina), un inmenso lago natural de sal, de 25 km por lado y cuando está cubierta de agua, sobrepasa apenas 30cm de hondo (cuando me lo dijeron rompieron el mito que me habÃan contado acerca de su profundidad), más allá de que existen "volcanes" (asà los llaman) o "pozos" de hasta 1 metro. De ella se extrae sal en estado puro. Su capa es de 1,5 mts. En la época de invierno está cubierta de agua y su tono rojizo corresponde a que en ella vive una bacteria que le da ese color. Cuando finalmente se evapora el agua, queda completamente llena de sal (y sin la bacteria). El increÃble contraste entre su color y el horizonte, el cielo, las nubes y las sierras, la hacen un lugar único y mÃtico.

Volver a la quietud. Después de un tiempo pude retomar el vicio de la fotografÃa ;). Una tarde extraña de tormenta y frió.
Este lugar tranquilo pertenece al Dique La Florida, en San Luis.
Aquà estoy probando un nuevo lente SIGMA 17-70 HSM Macro f/2.8-4.5. Muy luminoso (la tarde estaba muy oscura) y con una nitidez sorprendente.

Como la última nieve, pasaron 10 años para que Mendoza me volviera a recibir. Su blanca palidez lo envuelve todo e invita a soñar despierto nuevos mágicos momentos de amigos, de familia, de esperanza.
Parece una grata coincidencia la de tu nevada fuerte: regresar a mi Ciudad 10 años después de vivir alejado de tus lugares, de tus grandes arboledas, de tus nuevas calles, de mi gente más vieja pero con tu gente más nueva...
10 años que parecen nada...La vida nos demuestra que es un ciclo sin fin, y que nosotros somos apenas, una mÃsera ilusión que intenta dejar huella.
Lo triste de todo, es que tu ausencia es notoria en mi regreso, porque siento que intercediste para que encuentre mi destino...Sé que te sacrificaste para que yo pudiera volver como vos hubieras querido...
Pero lo importante, es que vas clavada en mi como esta frÃa nevada mendocina, que tardó, igual que yo, 10 años en regresar fuerte al hogar. //

El sol se esconde en el atardecer de San Luis sobre el oeste. A la izquierda, aunque parezca irreal, se comienza a ver los 3 picos más altos de la Cordillera de Los Andes, entre ellos, el Monte El Plata (la última sombra sobre la izquierda) de 6300 msnm y estaba a 350 km de distancia!!!

En alguna forma soy algo obsesionado con el tema del Coloso de América, el Centinela de Piedra (Aconcagua). Como viajo semanalmente a San Juan, desde hace años que veÃa 4 picos blancos en ciertas ocasiones y dependiendo de la visibilidad. Pero hace poco fue increÃble y pude distinguir perfectamente y a simple vista, bien albur, el Strato Vocán Tupungato (6400 mts.), El Plata (6100 mts.), Aconcagua (6962 mts. el de la foto) y Mercedario (6600 mts.). Coloco esta foto porque me encontraba aproximadamente a 260 km del pico mas alto de toda América. A simple vista se puede denotar el mÃtico Glaciar de Los Polacos, uno de los más grandes de la cordillera. La foto fue tomada cerca de las 13 hs, con una visibilidad muy buena y con un lente de 300 mm mas un duplicador óptico 2.x, logrando un 600 mm.

As I travel weekly to San Juan, for years I saw four white peaks at certain times and depending on visibility. But recently it was amazing and I could see perfectly and eye, good gamble, the Strato Vocan Tupungato (6400 mts.), The Silver (6100 mts.), Aconcagua (6962 m. The photo) and Mercedario (6600 mts. ). Ruta que une Trapiche con NogolÃ, en San Luis, Argentina. Pude llegar hasta un extraño lugar donde ya no se podÃa pasar...y con un cartel algo intimidatorio. Se leÃa el "propiedad privada". Este camino estaba abierto desde 1999 y cuando se produjeron algunos derrumbes, se cerró. Es un camino ESPECTACULAR. Una vista única. Un amigo la transitó por el año 2001. Llega al filo de las sierras de San Luis (cerca delos 2200 mts. aprox.). Según escuché por ahÃ, pronto la van a retomar y terminar. Pueda ser cierto. /

Después de 3 horas y apenas algunas tomas, pude captar esta foto justo en la caÃda de un rayo en la ciudad de San Luis, muy cerca de donde estaba. Inclusive pude distinguir algunas luces extrañas entre los rayos dispersos.
