A close-up look at one of the stained glass window at Central Synagogue. The camera recorded the difference between the light coming through the window and the background making it look like the glass is on black.

You might think I’m okay with settling
But I’ll do anything to prove you wrong
Don’t you try to shut me down again
No, I won’t pretend that I’m not strong
‘Cause I know that I belong
Tearing down these brick walls you built up around me
And they crumble down, every single piece
Watch ‘em fall, I’m standing tall
Rising up above it all
I can see straight through that ceiling
Break free, I’m making ‘em believe it
Watch it crash, can’t hold me back
Yeah, I’m shattering glass
You might think I’m a pretty face dressed up in pearls
But I run the world, ’cause I’m a mean queen girl-boss who won’t give you a second thought, while I’m
Girls just want to have fun, after we get our shit done
(Tearing down these) brick walls you built up around me
And they crumble down, every single piece
Watch ‘em fall, I’m standing tall
Rising up above it all
I can see straight through that ceiling
Break free, I’m making ‘em believe it
Watch it crash, can’t hold me back
Yeah, I’m shattering glass
SHATTERING GLASS
4 inch wide Waterford church photographed on a wooden table before a glitter paper background. Lights bounced against glitter paper in a darkened room.
A celebration of light & color.
Tech note: How to get a bit more depth of field, shooting close and wide open in low light? Focus Stack! Easy with focus bracketing & IBIS on the X-S10. A burst of 16 exposures with electronic shutter, handheld. None of the individual exposures have sharp focus on both vases. Load to layers in Photoshop, crop square, Double size, AutoAlign, AutoBlend, Crop back to original, Binate. Probably the up-and down-sampling are unnecessary, so will skip that in future. No adjustment to the image hue, saturation or lightness, but I guess it will still qualify for Sliders Sunday?

Harpa - impressive concert hall in Reykjavik - Iceland
This photo is taken of the distinctive glass facade inside the building.
The term stained glass can refer to coloured glass as a material or to works created from it. Throughout its thousand-year history, the term has been applied almost exclusively to the windows of churches and other significant religious buildings. This fine example is seen in "The Mission " public house in Hull .It is in a room that was the Chapel when the building was The Seamans Mission..
I visited the "Pinakothek der Moderne" on November 15 and took several Fotos of a wonderful Glass Arts Exhibition called:

Leitz/Leica SUMMILUX 1.4/75mm
Leitz/Leica ELMARIT 2.8/135mm

Some more Info regarding the Exhibition:
The international exhibitions held at the Triennale di Milano and the Biennale di Venezia are barometers of the most significant developments in twentieth century contemporary design and art. It is therefore no coincidence that Murano glass regularly attracts awards at both Milan and Venice. Having resurrected a range of centuries-old techniques, glassmakers such as A.V.E.M, Archimede Seguso, Barovier & Toso, and Venini learned to apply this knowledge in new and ingenious ways. Their work is a synthesis of the master glassmakers’ craftsmanship and the designers’ artistry. The objects they create attest to a successful renaissance of glass design that continues to the present day.
Displaying a selection of objects from the Holz Collection in Berlin, one of the most important private collections of 20th and 21st century Murano glass anywhere in the world, this is the first comprehensive exhibition of glassware that continues to set new standards in Milan and Venice.

My first visit to The Looking Glass, such a beautifully designed sim. I'm looking forward to going back there to explore lots more.
Leerdam is renowned for it's glass.
Royal Leerdam Crystal (also known as Royal Leerdam) was a Dutch producer of glassware products based in Leerdam, the Netherlands. It was established in 1878 as a department within a glassware producing factory, Glasfabriek Leerdam [nl], itself founded in 1765. From 1938 until 2002 it was part of the Schiedam-based Vereenigde Glasfabrieken. In 2002, the factory became part of the American glass and tableware company Libbey Inc. In 2008, Royal Leerdam was purchased by De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, becoming part of the Royal Delt Group. In September 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the glass-making facilities were shut. (Wikipedia)

Exterior view of the “Scotiabank Great Hall” of the National Gallery of Canada - Ottawa’s glass palace of art.
Architect Moshe Safdie designed the National Gallery of Canada. In light of the Gallery’s proximity to, and view of, Parliament Hill, Safdie determined that the Gallery absolutely must have a great hall, suitable for formal evening gatherings (of politicians), with a large panoramic window overlooking Canada’s national parliament, the Ottawa River and the Gatineau hills.
Safdie’s vision was certainly realized as the Scotiabank Great Hall - whether viewed from the inside or the outside - is nothing short of spectacular.

The little beach at Mousehole harbour in Cornwall used to be very productive for Sea Glass. The children would be so excited if they found blue glass, they knew it was my favourite! It was here I found the lovely worn glass bottle stopper pictured. But as the years passed the diversity of shells diminished, and coloured sea glass was replaced with tiny brightly coloured pieces of plastic. Very sad indeed. Happy Macro Mondays, now I've made you all miserable!!
