Flyhistorisk Museum Sola on June 9, 2017. Braathens SAFE de Havilland DH.114 Heron 1B LN-PSG (cn 14015). Note that this is not the real LN-PSG, but former Fjellfly LN-BFY (The construction number belongs to the original airframe). The displayed aircraft was delivered new to Garuda Indonesian Airways in 1953 with the registration PK-GHB. After serving with the airline for just three years, it was sold to Field Air Services in the UK and registered G-AOXL. Morton Air Service (which later became part of the British United Airlines group) used it from 1957 to 1970. After a couple of short owners in the form of Shackleton Aviation and J.F. Airlines, it was transferred to Norway, where it landed on February 10, 1972. The new owner was Fjellfly at Geiteryggen airport Skien and the aircraft was registered LN-BFY. The company had plans to use is on scheduled flights in Norway, but went bankrupt soon afterwards. Flyhistorisk Museum Sola bought the grounded airframe in 1984, restored it with some parts from LN-BFX (cn 14020) and repainted it in the colour scheme of Braathens SAFE. The real LN-PSG (cn 14002) was operated out of Sola from 1952 to 1957. Old colour photos of the original LN-PSG indicates that the nice paint scheme is historical correct. Note that this is the Heron Series 1 version with fixed landing gear. Hanging from the the roof is LN-ABM, which is a restored Lippisch Hols-der-Teufel glider from the 1930s.

In 1983 National Welsh/Cymru Cenedlaethol Leyland National N1521 (GHB 680N) pulls off the stop having disgorged its load, while behind a Williams of Cymdu Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YRQ, LHG 65P, picks up a party. With its twin, LHG 66P, this was acquired from Rochester & Marshall in Great Whittington, Northumberland in 1982.
National Welsh appears to have carried out its MAP (Market Analysis Project) for the area, resulting in another silly name, 'Beaconsedge', to be added to the numerous other examples dreamt up by NBC's marketing 'experts'!
As part of Saltburn Food Festival surprisingly Arriva, Redcar depot provided at least three Turkey's!!
There was a park n ride service from Saltburn Golf Club where cars could park in the field and people could be taken into Saltburn town centre for three pound return bus ride.
