I love my Kamlan 50/1.1 first version. This is a small lens but with great capabilities. But there is one thing that makes it look like vintage optics, this is the glow in the high-contrast areas of the photo. Moreover, it does not have a drop in contrast, it simply creates halos around white and chrome materials. And in a situation where these objects are not present, it is razor-sharp without the slightest hint of glow when the aperture is open. This is both its feature and its drawback that you have to put up with. Most likely it's the quality of the lens coating. But he really is a masterpiece for the money.

Chebika is close to the town of Tamerza, in the Djerid region of south west Tunisia. It lies just a couple of miles from the border with Algeria. It is a small mountain oasis town surrounded by a dry and arid desert region, just north of the salt lakes or Chotts. It can be reached by driving along route 3 from Kairouan to Metlaoui, then following minor roads from El Hamma du Jerid past the Chott El Gharsa for about 24km (15 miles). Chebika is usually reached first, en route to Mides and Tamerza. It is probably the least famous of these oasis towns yet it is the most dramatic with its rugged rocks and steep-sided ravines.
