Other than obviously looking different and having a mane, male lions differ so much from the lionesses and I guess a lot of that is because of the roles each play within the pride.

Males tend to be incredibly possessive and if they believe something is theirs they will guard it and if anyone even thinks of looking at it he will change their mind pretty quickly.

Once though he is finished with it or has had enough, he will quietly walk away allowing anyone to have it.

At other times though they can be so surprisingly gentle.

A gentle touch is all it took for this shy timid dog to become friends. He's a beautiful Siberian Husky rescued from somewhere in the states as we had learned from his owner.
