The General Data Protection Regulation Act is a law that was introduced in the European Union for protecting the rights and privacy of citizens of the EU. Daniel Fluskey, Director of Policy at the Institute of Fundraising, chaired a panel session on GDPR and fundraising regulation on the second day of Fundraising Convention 2017 in London.
Gerald Oppenheim of the Fundraising Regulator and Penny Bygrave of solicitors Bircham Dyson Bell were the members of the panel.

Vad är en personuppgift?
Personuppgifter är all slags information som på något vis kan kopplas till en person. Det kan till exempel vara mail som du skickar till oss, ditt namn, din bild på Instagram eller din köphistorik. Allt som görs med dina uppgifter kallas för en behandling, och en behandling får så klart inte utföras utan laglig rätt. Rätt ska vara rätt!
Hur skyddas dina personuppgifter?
Vi använder trygga IT-system för att skydda sekretessen, integriteten och tillgången till personuppgifter. Bara de personer som faktiskt behöver behandla dina personuppgifter har tillgång till dem. Vi har ordning på torpet!
Vem är ansvarig för de personuppgifter vi samlar in?

Vilka kan vi komma att dela dina personuppgifter med?

Vad är cookies och hur använder vi dem?

Vad har du för rättigheter som registrerad?

Vi kan i så fall behöva fråga om ytterligare uppgifter för att säkerställa en effektiv hantering av din begäran. Vi behöver också försäkra oss om att informationen lämnas till rätt person, så klart.
Rätt till rättelse – Stämmer inte uppgifterna vi har om dig så har du rätt att få dem rättade.
Rätt till radering – I vissa fall har du rätt att få dina uppgifter helt eller delvis raderade. Anser du att vi inte har laglig rätt att ha kvar dem så hör av dig till oss.
Tänk på att vi kan ha rätt att neka din begäran om det finns lagliga skyldigheter som hindrar oss från att radera vissa personuppgifter. Dessa skyldigheter kan komma från bokförings- och skattelagstiftning, bank- och penningtvättslagstiftning, men också från konsumenträttslagstiftning.
Rätt till begränsning – Du har rätt att begära att vår behandling av dina personuppgifter begränsas. Om du bestrider att personuppgifterna vi behandlar är korrekta eller nödvändiga kan du begära en begränsad behandling under den tid vi behöver för att kontrollera saken. Då får vi bara lagra uppgifterna och behandla dem för att fastställa, göra gällande eller försvara rättsliga anspråk, för att skydda någon annans rättigheter eller ifall du har lämnat ditt samtycke.
Rätt att göra invändningar mot viss typ av behandling – Du har alltid rätt att slippa direktmarknadsföring (tex via post, e-post eller sms) och att invända mot all behandling av personuppgifter som bygger på en intresseavvägning.
Rätt till dataportabilitet – Om vår rätt att behandla dina personuppgifter grundar sig antingen på ditt samtycke eller fullgörande av ett avtal med dig har du rätt att begära att få de uppgifter som rör dig och som du har lämnat till oss överförda till en annan personuppgiftsansvarig (s.k. dataportabilitet). En förutsättning för det är att överföringen är tekniskt möjlig och kan ske automatiserat.
Vad innebär det att Datainspektionen är tillsynsmyndighet?
Datainspektionen är ansvarig för att övervaka tillämpningen av lagstiftningen, och den som anser att ett företag hanterar personuppgifter på ett felaktigt sätt kan lämna in ett klagomål till Datainspektionen.
