Sandy Cape is the northernmost point on K'gari, but Breaksea Point continues the Island's formation some 30 kilometres further north. More or less partially submerged, depending on the tides, the Spit is a treacherous threat to shipping and several ships were wrecked in the 19th Century.
Here, the influence of Breaksea Spit on the currents and tides is evident as the rising waters surge around Sandy Cape and clash in an impressive display of Nature's power.

"Gari Melchers Home and Studio, also known as Belmont, is a National Historic Landmark and historic house museum at 224 Washington Street in Falmouth, Virginia. This much-altered 18th-century house was the home and studio of the popular American artist Gari Melchers (1860–1932) from 1916 until his death. It was given to the state of Virginia by his widow, and is now administered by the University of Mary Washington. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965, commemorating Melchers' influential role in bringing American art to European attention.
Falmouth Historic District is a national historic district located at Falmouth, Stafford County, Virginia. The district includes 29 contributing buildings in the historic core of the town of Falmouth. Notable buildings include Basil Gordon Warehouse, Customs House, the Double House, Highway Assembly of God Church, old Post Office, Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, the Tavern, Tavern Keeper's House, Union Methodist Church, Master Hobby School, and the Counting House. Located in the district are the separately listed Gari Melchers Home, Carlton, Clearview and Conway House.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

This vehicle is famous in Cox's Bazar. It's also has fame in Bandarban, Rangamati, Kaghrachari. Actually it is a Jeep car which has no Hood. It carries more then 8 people. We called it "The Chander Gari"

Aquest cap de setmana ha estat força destinat a enxampar material històric, amb el punt fort situat el dissabte anant a Móra la Nova a visitar les instal•lacions de la gent d’APPFI. Diumenge però va tornar tocar a sortir, aquest cop per dins de Barcelona, per anar a per més material històric, anant fins a Avinguda Tibidabo per fer-li unes quantes fotos al ja conegut Tramvia Blau. Una d’elles va ser aquesta, a la zona de la parada de Josep Garí, on degut a que anava a màxima ocupació, el tramvia 6 no va fer la corresponent aturada.
Este fin de semana ha estado bastante destinado a pillar material histórico, con el punto fuerte situado en el sábado yendo a Móra la Nova a visitar las instalaciones de la gente de APPFI. El domingo pero volvió a tocar salir, esta vez por dentro de Barcelona, para ir a por más material histórico, yendo hasta Avinguda Tibidabo para hacerle unas cuantas fotos al ya conocido “Tramvia Blau”. Una de ellas fue esta, por la zona de la parada de Josep Garí, donde debido a que iba a máxima ocupación, el tranvía 6 no efectuó la correspondiente parada.
This weekend has been designed to catch enough historical material, with the highlight on Saturday located in Mora la Nova going to visit the facilities of APPFI people. The Sunday but returned to play out, this time inside Barcelona to go for more historical material, going up to Avinguda Tibidabo to make a few photos to the already known "Tramvia Blau". One was that, in the area of the stop Josep Gari, where would because maximum occupancy, tram 6 not made the corresponding stop.
