Don't you wish your very lovely lady was out here with you on Flickr Camera Safari instead of napping and sun-bathing back at the Monte Carlo cabana pool? I can totally Dig It! After all, this is your last opportunity to walk the full length of the Las Vegas Strip from Mandalay Bay all the way north to the SLS/Sahara and not have to worry too much about the time. For the last eight days you two haven't spent much time thinking about what time it is. Y'all had all the time in the world. But in about an hour you're going to have to find a nice quiet place to sit down and call Bell Trans to confirm your 3:30pm airport shuttle pick-up tomorrow at the Monte Carlo. And sometime around 6pm, you and your very lovely lady will need to find someplace where you two can print out your boarding passes and do your 24 hour early check-in for your Frontier Airlines flight back to Denver International Airport.
Now y'all have to start thinking about Time -- Because it's starting to run out.
So don't you think now would be a really good time to start looking for a nice cocktail lounge where you can sit and do what you need to do. Don't wait until it's Happy Hour and all the bars are busy -- So go and Do It right now. There's Gilley's or Senor Frog's at Treasure Island. There's El Segundo Sol over there at the Fashion Show Mall. You can go to Parasol-Down or to Parasol-Up at The Wynn. Or you can go to the Eastside Lounge at The Encore. You can always back-track and go to RhumBAR at The Mirage.
Don't be sad or mad that your time is running out, your ten day Las Vegas Fling is not over yet and therefore Life Is Still Good Here! Can You DIG It!

Sitting on the back porch as the evening sky got darker and darker, these flowers seemed to glow against the shadowy woods behind them. Despite being pretty comfortable in my chair, the scene impelled me to grab my camera and tripod and try to capture the shot.
This shot was the first of a few and was taken before wiping away the condensation on the lens glass that had formed in the hot, humid dusk air. This gave the image a more painterly feel that really fit the subject and made it my favorite of the group.

In the meantime, you and your very lovely lady need to enjoy your long leisurely lunch at Nine Fine Irishmen and you two need to decide how y'all want to spend the next three nights and four days on the Vegas Strip.

Can you and your very lovely lady really think of a more delightfully romantic setting for dinner or weekend brunch? Tell your very lovely restaurant hostess to seat you two somewhere really nice along the ledge overlooking the Bellagio's lush botanical gardens. In 1993, you invited your very lovely lady, and her very lovely best girlfriend, to ‘Do Vegas!’ It was to be the first Vegas Visit for all three of you, but there was no question as to where the three of you would do your first Vegas Venture! Y’all wanted to stay at The Mirage! 😎🍹
The Mirage Resort & Casino had just opened four years earlier in 1989, and was already the World’s Biggest & Greatest Casino Hotel, but then in 1993, Steve Wynn opened Treasure Island as a sister Casino hotel to the adjacent Mirage. Ultimately the three of you decided to book Treasure Island and spent plenty of time playing in both casinos. 😈
Over the course of 28 years of ‘Doing Vegas,’ you and your very lovely lady have created a lot of history between the Mirage and Treasure Island. The Mirage has always been your Happy Place! 😎 So surely it’s spooky for you to see the present sad state of affairs of the Mirage. 😥 History will determine if the very late reopening of the Mirage was a good or bad decision. So it’s highly unlikely your very lovely lady would break her self-imposed ten month Coronavirus Quarantine to fly down here to try to rescue the Mirage — especially if low guest traffic force the Casino to shut down during the weekdays. 🤔

22 years ago, BG, Bernie, and I celebrate our last dinner here at what was then a classic Chinese restaurant. Clearly The Mirage has changed greatly since our last visit.

Don't you think this was what Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour really had in mind on their merry way on the 'Road To Bali.'
However, rather than Bob, Bing, and Dorothy enjoying their numerous rounds of frozen Strawberry-Mango Margaritas at the luxurious bar, I'd strongly recommend the three of them have those frozen margaritas out on the patio overlooking the lush tropical Mandalay Bay Beach.
Yes I know your very lovely lady is busy back at the Monte Carlo cabana pool working on her golden suntan, but perhaps you could phone her and see if she'd be of a mind to taxi up here so that she may pose nice and pretty for your camera against the backdrop of this lush tropical junglescape. What do you think...
