These enclosures may actually be a little tight for this, but maybe I'll get used to it. The lid in the back is held up in the middle by standoffs like you'd use to mount a board in a project case, but they're so close to the sides that I can't get a nut-driver around 'em. I broke one off trying to get it in the hole, so this pedal will have one less screw holding its back on. And then the footswitch almost touches the board from underneath. I had to rotate it so the resistor on the back of the board wasn't hitting the terminals on the switch. It's definitely tight, but like I said, maybe I'll get used to it.
That's pretty cool, huh? When was the last time you opened up an effects pedal and saw a turret board inside? Never?
Oh, my wife was going through my receipts this morning and asked me if I realized I was spending more than $60 for each of these. So...uh...I wasn't so good at the math. Which makes sense. I took Medical Ethics in college instead of Statistics because I have Dyscalculia. A lovely gift from a bout of Scarlet Fever when I was a kid that took a lot of my hearing and sight at the same time.
So I'm probably going to end up charging $85 for these pedals, although I think I can bring component costs down. Like, these knobs were more costly than they needed to be, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait for Chinese knobs. And of course these enclosures are setting me back over $20 each, so that's a thing I may try to shave down a bit eventually. I've been looking at ways to powder coat using a toaster oven, since I can't begin to afford a powder-coating oven.
This particular pedal will go cheaper. Probably at cost. Lemme zip 'er up and show you what she can do.
Zvex Fuzz Probe, got my the Vexter series because I'm a raging hobo (and I couldn't find many in the UK... ooh also I wanted the LED to tell if it's turned on and the funny port for the PSA 230es adaptor).
Squeally squeals and such. Don't think I'm going to have any built in fuzz factory guitars... just doesn't make sense man... just doesn't make sense.
But yeah, can play Plug in baby and a host of other fuzz related tunes. Pick up a bag today

Mystery Fuzz Bug. What the heck is this thang?? Finally found out today 6-23-2015! A friend showed it on Facebook! "puss caterpillar," or Megalopyge opercularis
It's a fat, furry caterpillar that is popping up in trees across Florida, and it's known as the "puss caterpillar," or Megalopyge opercularis.
But whatever you do, do not touch this bug. Stay away from it, scientists say.
Its fur is actually covered in venom. Doctors from the University of Florida say the second you touch this caterpillar you feel instant, intense pain.
The pain is worse than a bee, jellyfish, or scorpion, and it can also cause vomiting and convulsions.
Doctors say be aware of them while working outdoors because they are known to fall out of trees.

Went to a screening of Hot Fuzz at the Armand Hammer Museum in Westwood with Rick. Awesome movie, and they are just as funny in person. Everyone go see it.
