Remember what you learned in Economics class?

A study in lines and light. This tram signal in Oostende becomes something more—a glowing digital display, framed by the soft geometry of the station’s colourful canopy. Function meets form in a moment of photographic design.

Photographic Stories on Urban Form

I’ve always been drawn to the shapes and patterns of cities—how a curve meets a corner, how old stone sits quietly beside something new and bold. These photos are moments I noticed while walking, pausing, and looking just a little longer than usual.

Some scenes are simple: a doorway, a reflection, a patch of colour. Others feel like two buildings having a conversation across time. What they all have in common is that they stopped me in my tracks, made me want to frame them and share the feeling.

This series isn’t about architecture in a technical sense—it’s about the everyday poetry of urban spaces. It’s about noticing. And maybe, if I’ve done it right, it invites you to notice a little more too.

One of the gargoyles (the non functioning kind) adorning the exterior of the Lady Chapel; all were replaced in the Victorian restoration, though three badly eroded ones have been replaced very recently with new sculptures, like this two-faced gorgon-like demon.

Lichfield is our best known three-spired cathedral, and one I have visited many times over the years (both for business and pleasure).

The cathedral suffered more than most during the Civil War when the Close was besieged (twice) and the central spire shot down (the aftermath of which is memorably conjured in one of Kempe's windows). As a result of this (and the soft red sandstone) the cathedral has been heavily restored and nearly all the furnishings are Victorian, but there are some notable tombs and monuments, and every time I come here I seem to notice more medieval survivals of some kind in various corners.

This is a view from the pool. It has a 5 seater round garden set and 4 seater breakfast nook with ref and 6 seater table for the videoke. There is also 2 toilet and bath within the ground floor area

Tyler came into town for our buddies wedding this weekend. After a relaxing morning Ty and I decided to go out and get some shots of his gorgeous 2013 STI.

2014 saw a number of anniversaries which will help us tell this story. It's been 60 years since the creation of the iconic Routemaster, 75 years since the launch of the RT-Type bus and 100 years since the world's first mass-produced motor bus, the B-Type 'Battle Bus' that carried soldiers to the frontline during the First World War.

Our buses are the arteries of the capital, moving large numbers of people around the city - across the centre and to the extremities. They have affected great social change and continue to offer a lifeline to a diverse range of Londoners. Buses also support the needs of our growing city and in turn help London to function as the engine room of the UK's economy.

London is naturally proud of its bus network, one of the largest and most accessible in the world. Despite its size, the bus network remains flexible and able to adapt to the challenges of operating in a constantly changing streetscape.

To meet the future needs of the city, while minimising the environmental impact, we are using innovation and new green technology. Our fleet is already one of the cleanest in the UK, but we're constantly striving to see how new technology can further reduce our impact on the environment.

The bus sculptures, which are 2.5m long, 1m high and 0.5m wide, are painted and adorned by well-known and aspiring artists to showcase the vital role that London’s buses play in the life and economy of the city and the UK as a whole.

Londoners and visitors to the city will get the chance to discover the bus sculptures, which will be organised in clusters, on foot by following public art trails in four areas of the capital – three in central London and one in outer London.

A chunk of street furniture does its best impression of a sculpture. Weathered paint, industrial weight, and just enough geometry to make you pause. Function meets found abstraction.

This equation was the easiest to come up with. Thank god for linear equations. I made the line go through the origin so the only thing i had to do was make the slope.
