fun in the sun for everyone! wish they'd find a replacement ride or something to fill in that spot where that "vomit" ride was. the one that shot people upwards really fast and was over by the first turn of California Screamin.

This is another in a series of Portraits I've taken of my wife Emma and her everyday life. These are taken at my parents and her parents. I chose to take these and show these as I really like the backdrop and light. More often than not I forget that natural indoor light can be special too.
When you live in Kansas, you don't get many opportunities at the beach to practice your sand sculpting skills. These were just a few scenes photographed at the Shawnee Mission Sand Volleyball courts, a fund-raiser for the Sunflower House, a child abuse prevention center in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties in Kansas.
Tired and hot after a day in the sun; she had been in a bikini, but donned a t-shirt to protect her fair skin from the afternoon sun (or possibly from a growing number of photographers).
Eighteen beach volleyball courts surround the clubhouse/sportsbar. This group was participating in a tournament while the Sand Sculpture Contest was going on nearby, all part of a fundraiser for the Sunflower House, a child abuse prevention project.
