For my project, we were asked to do a Diagnostic on 'Recreating Art', and I had a main focus on an artist called Jack Vettriano. His work was mainly beach-themed, and sea-side. However, I focused mainly on his use of umbrellas, and I came out with this. I like it, myself.

Having fun with photoshop learning the buttons. Also learning the Macro setting on camera, testing just how close I can get to insects. They seem to care less about camera, if I place my hand anywhere near they fly away.

With fifty-five students by the summer’s end, the IRC in Seattle's Newcomer School Readiness Program was a big success! For seven weeks, newly arrived refugee youth participated in a variety of activities to help prepare them for the upcoming school year. In addition to daily classroom lessons, songs and games, the kids also went on fun field trips to the local fire station and the Seattle Aquarium. Thanks to all the dedicated teachers, interns, community members, and students who helped make this year's program one to remember!
