Nightmarket, Linkou district of New Taipei City.

I took several pictures of these boys playing and throwing pebbles into the sea. Then all of a sudden my memory card was full and I didn't have chance replace it!

That tail says it all :)

Fun, fun, fun, until the two year old comes home.

We had to go do a few touch-n-goes at Hicks before returning to Meacham. The sun was setting and the haze sucked but I thought these came out okay. Landing at Hicks on runway 14 is neat because of this unique view you have on base and final.

Ginkgo is a long-lived, woody, deciduous, prehistoric tree. It is native to south-central and southeast China and is often called a living fossil because the ginkgo has existed for hundreds of millions of years.

While it tolerates a variety of soil textures and pH, ginkgo needs a site in full sun and good drainage to thrive. Avoid wet soils. It can grow 50 to 80 feet tall and 30 to 40 feet wide. Fruits from female trees are messy and have foul smelling fleshy seeds, so planting male trees is often preferable.

A fun fact about Ginkgo is the leaves turn bright yellow in the fall and all drop from the tree within a few hours. Catch it if you can!

Local superstore frosted sugar cookie - up close. Loved the colors on this. Best part is that I got the picture and then ate the cookie.

This is his very last summer before starting school... crazy.

More fun playing with fire!

I like the way this one turned out, because well, the first 4 attempts to photograph this with some other ideas all failed horribly, alcohol doesn't burn all that well, the butane torch ran out of fuel, alcohol let me down again, and one other experiment failed :(

So I found a bottle of teflon chain lube for my bike chain with a big "flammable" logo on it! BINGO! so I got this one by gently blowing on the flame to make it a bit bigger and irregular in its pattern

That and 5 frames per second helped me get this one too!
