Très beau site de villégiature. La nature est belle, préservons-la !

NTWLAU heading west out of Darwin, home of the world famous twine ball. Fun crew on this train!

I found these novelty erasers in our local supermarket. They read "Fun, "Love" and "Peace". I wasn't sure how to present them but They are two inches wide so I focussed at three inches on the short side which meant I had to crop to a square format.

I decided to place them in a baking tray which I filled with water and added some washing up liquid.

I used a straw to blow bubbles in the water for the "Fun" part.

One of my sons colourful bags was placed behind for a reflection.

Such a tasty tennis ball... :-)))

Just another night in my back yard. Tonite this duck decided to put on a show. They are constantly landing, playing, feeding, and teaching their young to survive. This time of the evening is always entertaining!

The snazzy looking OSR duo sets off their hopper cars at Woodstock before heading light power to Salford.

These two young colts won't always be so caring toward one another as they are from two different bands. Was so cute now though as the little dun one ran up the hill and joined the young colts from the other band for about half and hour and they just played. Soon the stallion was ready to move on and he raced back to his own band.

Local farm lads having fun in the flood water.

For a lot of us the storms and floods are an inconvenience - for some they are a disaster - and for some its a fun break from routine.

At 08:00 apparently the water was over the wooden walk-way on the left of the picture.

Feathers insulate birds from water and cold temperatures.

They may also be plucked to line the nest and provide insulation to the eggs and young.

The individual feathers in the wings and tail play important roles in controlling flight.

Some species have a crest of feathers on their heads. Although feathers are light, a bird's plumage weighs two or three times more than its skeleton, since many bones are hollow and contain air sacs.

Colour patterns serve as camouflage against predators for birds in their habitats.

Striking differences in feather patterns and colours are part of the sexual dimorphism of many bird species and are particularly important in selection of mating pairs.

A good alternative for flowers, if you want colour, shapes and textures, is feathers.

I had a lot of fun with these, always trying to ‘perfection’ and bring the best.

Here straight feathers in graduating colours.

I wish you all a very good day and thanks for all your kind words, time, comments and likes. Very much appreciated. Magda, (*_*)

Female Brown-hooded Owlet Moth (Cucullia convexipennis) - Front door, Boothbay Harbor, Maine

We're kinda the Motel 6 for moths,

and "We'll leave the light on for you!"

I went to extremes to get this pic, so I decided to document the heights I went to for this capture (where you can see Moth Macro can be a family affair)!

Check out the comment section to see the actual lengths I went to to get this moth pic.

Happy Teddy Bear Skating Tuesday!!! 😃🐻🐻🐻

I like to take pictures for fun. No fun, no point! I know what I do is not everyone's idea of fun, as my mother will remind me, but it's 'me' and I would hate to be like everyone else. So wherever I go now the chances are I will have my penguin costume with me, looking to break up that iconic landscape with something that I can pronounce as 'different'. So, if I can find a snowy landscape this weekend, you know what is coming. Or may be not.

the annual Kurilpa Derby where anything on non-motorised wheels can take part down the steep streets. Good fun

A pretty spot with contrasting building facades along the Church Street in New York City.

The ukulele is a member of the lute family of instruments. It generally employs four nylon strings. It is a small guitar-like instrument, which was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants from Madeira.

Not sure why we have one as I don't recall any member of our family ever playing one? It's been sitting in my basement untouched for decades, and could use a little TLC. But since today is "U" day, it sure came in handy!

I know, I just posted an Elk silhouette sunset. But at least I changed it up this time and did a pic with 2 bull elk.

If I post another I'll do at least 3 bulls.

If the number of elk increases with each pic, does that make it even more repetitive, or more fun?

Either way, thanks for stopping by. Your comments and favs are always appreciated.

I love rainy days in the spring between showers! You never know what you are going to get including a bit of sun at times.

This was a fun one to shoot with the 70-200E hand held. It's so sharp and focuses darn close. I might upgrade it to the Z version at some point but no hurry.

Thank you for your warm and kind visits my flickr friends! You are the best! 💙

A very wet and windy day in Brighton, and not surprisingly, most of the fair ground rides on the pier were closed.

I call it the Fun Wall but it's actually called The Medical Mile. It's a 1,300-foot section of the Arkansas River Trail that showcases a three-dimensional mural wall designed to inspire viewers to invest in wellness. The goal is to provide a safe, accessible, and inspiring public space for citizens to exercise. This part of vibrant street art on the wall features an elephant, an owl, Elvis and other imaginative elements, creating a dynamic urban scene.

Thanks for views,faves and comments:-)

Elsa fondly remembers the only day she has ever seen snow. She had a great time with Amanda and Frosty.

It's not very common for it to snow in Madrid, but last January 5th it snowed a bit, it not lasted much, but at least we could take some pics.
