Day three hundred forty-two/365. My training and experience tell me that this familiar depiction of a reclining woman is sexist and objectifying.
I also know, that in my profession, I tend to take some things too seriously. Perhaps this is simply an expression of fun and an acknowledgment of one's sexuality. There is no need to make the world void of such feelings.
So, which is it? Is a symbol such as this degrading to women? Is it a signal that the owner thinks of some human beings as objects? Or, is it just fun? Perhaps there's a line that this doesn't cross . . .

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, NMH celebrated Mellowfest, a festival with music, lights, and good vibes hosted by the Student Congress in Grandin Lounge. On Friday, April 28, Mona Seno, visual arts department chair, led an Arbor Day craft workshop, where students painted flower pots and planted succulents.
