Miyazaki isn't a sort of city that would appear on your Travel Guide to Japan. It's rather a city that's middle-sized and perhaps most people there are just residents of this city. Miyazaki prefecture is sometimes well-known for its warm mild climate; hence having sports teams camping. However the city? There really aren't much talked about.
However when you travel, you always know that in this kind of underrated cities there's hidden fun. We walked around as we feel like, went into a few places to dine Miyazaki's local food like "Momo Yaki (chicken chopped roughly and grilled with super high charcoal heat), then found a sake bar run by a very nice old gentleman who quit being a salaryman in Fukuoka. He had excellent selections of sake and the lady who was waiting the customers were just so friendly and welcoming that we had a chat even after we paid the bill.
You always know that most touristy cities often are so sick of people visiting, eating the same things, acting the same, and never meet again. Meanwhile MIyazaki city ended up being a city we will always remember.

Looking back over images of the Milky Way as inspiration for my next trip out of the city.
Taken on a property near Capteree NSW, facing west. From June 2019, around midnight. The glow in the sky is light reflected from clouds and fog from a distant Bathurst. The bright patch to the right, a very bright Jupiter seen through slow-moving cloud and fog. It’s a single shot image with just a bit of Lightroom tweaking to improve contrast an visibility of colours.
