A pinhole image of the St Johns Bridge made the sunday before Christmas. Snow in Portland is so rare, this is actually the first time I had ever been able to take photos of this bridge in it, and I sure didn't waste any time getting down there, even as the roads became icier and slicker and most people were heading home, I was heading out. It was a wonderful evening. This was shot just about 3:30 so not 20 minutes later it was pretty dark.
Taken with the Josey Peterson Memorial Zero Image pinhole.

The once rich and living countryside of mid western Sweden is slowly dying, drying out. The streets and the inhabitants that so rarely seem to walk them live on borrowed time.
In the fifties, sixties and seventies Lesjöfors was a vivid and sprawling small town in the county of Värmland, plenty of work opportunities generated from both mining, forestry and manufacturing, successful sporting teams and a bright future - But as the mines and the sawmills shut down in the early eighties and late seventies, so did the areas that surrounded them. Now, in 2009 empty apartments, abandoned factories, stores, schools and poorly maintained roads is all that remains to keep the sparse number of inhabitants company.
A euphemism of the decay of social and cultural policy within the Swedish political sphere, a sad reminder that not all that have been will remain.

Abandoned school in the ghost town of Toyah, TX 23 January 2017. Shot near dawn with incredible light, it’s the only surviving film shot from Toyah.
The film back sprang a light leak and all the shots after this suffered from it. Here, it’s not that prominent.
