In case you aren’t completely sick of hearing about this on tumblr yet: we’ve got a new book!
It’s 5x8, 100 pages & filled with our favourite Polaroids from the past year, and is available on Blurb for $30. There’s also still a week and a half left to pre-order a signed copy. For more details about that, click here!
2013 was a great year for Amamak, we're looking forward to more awesomeness in 2014. And as always, we're grateful for all your support!

Polaroid 600se + Fuji FP-100C.
July 12, 2013.
Hey long time since I used instant film! Needed to see how this wallpaper (and my crafty way of putting it up *ahum cough*) was looking through the RZ for my shoot on sunday. :)
I got a Rolleiflex SL66 and a few lenses last week. I'd been wanting one for a while and finally went for it. Hoping for some great tilt shifty images out of this guy.

the weather has been unseasonably sunny.
if you look out my window, it looks like spring.
the air says otherwise.
Polaroid Week Day 7
The positive prints were posted back during roid week in 2015, it took me several years but I finally found the negatives after moving states and got around to bleaching them. Just in time for 2022 Polaroid week!

RoidWeek Spring 2018 Day 3/2
As usual roidweek took me by surprise (totally unprepared and not really a lot of interesting new pola-stuff), so as usual just digging up unpublished images from the archives...
Apart from being a close friend, Sophie is secretly a very creative model and lovely to work with. Over the years I made lots and lots of portraits of her (more in this album) and I might have even posted a positive of this shot earlier. I bleached and scanned the negative recently, so in a way this version is quite new, kind of 🤔
Film: Fuji FP100C (bleached neg)

Took a quick look back to the other posts from this shoot...I tell ya, I sound goofy as hell in those earlier posts.
Or, just Very Young. Bombastic. The internet was a place I could just be a goof, yell to the rafters about how awesome photography was, how much fun I was having galavanting around town taking pictures of people.
That kind of exuberance wouldn't fly these days, I can tell you that. I see people talking like that online, they sound like loons.
Makes me smile, here on a Very early Sunday morning, how light those days seem, in my memory.
Flip it around, 14 years later, still taking pictures of Katie, though not as often (went and moved herself to New York...who does such a thing!), still taking pictures of people I've randomly met (got a shoot next weekend with someone I worked with on a 2 week-long photo shoot, last summer), still waking up at all hours and finding myself on Flickr, where I "free jazz" my way through a photo description.
I don't make people sit on the floor anymore, though, that would be very weird. Go Outside, 2008 Lou! Sitting on the floor, ridiculous!

{film} I bought myself some branches yesterday and shot some images for the first time since Christmas. Before then, I hadn't touched any of my cameras. It felt both odd and liberating to be away for that long.

'roid week day 3/2
I bought this film around 2010 with the intention of refridgerating it for at least ten years before using it to see how it held up or not over time. This is one result
