I save all of the dogs' Clarkdale license tags. When the year is up I stick the old tags into Floyd and Ivan's framed photos by the front door.
Today I got their 2011 tags and the 2010 tags joined the rest from years past.
Happy New Year, everybody!

I took this photo at the end of may.
I really miss the beginning of summer. The fresh green summer. You know.
Brandi Lee Cooper and I made a collaborative artwork for the upcoming Made in Clarkdale show. We're calling it "86324" because it's about our town. It's a 3 piece 2 inch thick (hollow)porcelain wall hanging she built, and I painted with glaze. Unfortunately on second firing with final glaze it developed 2 cracks, unfortunately--though they don't prevent us from showing the work. She came over with the pieces today and I filled the minor cracks in with paint.
We have to dress up for work tomorrow, so I thought I'd drag out my old favorite "vintage tourist" alter ego. Of course any well dressed tourist has a cute little accessory dog in her suitcase.
