Inspired by a TV show telling kids to eat fresh at supermarkets when the fruit and veg is full of chemicals.
This chicken was bought live at a market in Nanjing. The seller killed it in front of me. Scalded the bird and plucked it. The bird was chopped and stir fried two hours later. Buying chicken in China is a lot different than in London!

i went to Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle yesterday and thought I'd snap some of the fresh food for sale there.

It was a magical day in the Cairngorms near the end of my Scotland trip in 2015 as we were treated to lots of fresh snow. The snow would come in waves giving us the opportunity to step out and make images.
With dwindling value of the peso, we seldom go in the supermarket. We just bought our groceries on local markets as it is much cheaper than here.
Now we had a chance to just sightseeing on what's going on lately in this newly opened Savemore Groceries owned by SM Group of Companies. This Savemore was located in Canduman Mandaue City. Sightseeing and just taking photos is enough, we prefer to buy on the local market.
Can you see the fresh salmons? That is a Norwegian Salmon and this is imported fish. Its so expensive here in Cebu.
On Wednesdays they turn the entire City Hall area into a huge farmers market with all kinds of goodies. The fresh vegetables are so hard to resist; we just sample them all.
Produce at Local Market
Beautiful fresh vegetables for sale at a local food market in Chiang Mai. A lot of beautiful shades of green. Eggplant, bitter melon, limes, garlic, tomatoes, galangal... (I'm not sure what's in the basket or the leafy greens on the bottom right of the frame.
