Winter begins to set in as a small fen starts to freeze over.

It was a cold morning today - sad to think I'm happy about that - since it meant I got one last chance to play with freezing bubbles (hopefully) this spring!

Extremely cold conditions yesterday, easily the coldest day of this winter. The day started sunny but became very misty in afternoon, ideal for foggy tree shots.

Not sure i did the location justice, though i was ampered by camera battery going dead, mirrorless cameras maybe the future but crikey the battery life on them is shocking, well it is on the canon m50 which i own.

This was taken just outside the Yorkshire sculpture park, i loved the conditions but slightly disappointed i didn't capture it better.

February 3, 2016. A good day to work from the home office as transportation was reduced to a crawl.

Accomplishments:

- scheduled dental cleaning appointments

- got Andrea registered for a health care card

- moved and set up the computer in the new office

We had a little bit of an ice storm and so I took advantage of the situation. It was cold and slippery and and dreary. I didn't get as sharp an image as I would want but I really like how the leaves are showing through their ice encasement. I did get an idea to try sometime -- when it's going to be below freezing again (and sunny), to spray mist on the subject to get the effect of an ice storm but in a more controlled situation.
