Finaly, my full sharkskin zentai arrived! It took almost half a year from the first order to the delivery of the suit. It was in the mail just before christmas, so a nice gift for me. Its from China's TaoBao and purchased via a shopping agent. The first order got canceled because blue color fabric was not available anymore so I went for the black fabric. Then there were several questions about my measures followed by a looong shipping time to the agent and then to Germany. I'm really pleased with the suit. Fitting is really good, the fabric is strong but very stretchy, softer than the Speedo fastskin fabric, and feels awesome! :-D
'Sharskin' would be the better name for this gallery but I already used it for gallery 246... and, of course, I have to take it in the shower one day.

I saw a manga strip with a soccer boy in a leotard and tried to recreate it. The result reminded me a lot of the German children's story "Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl", in which an imaginary character in the form of a little red-haired goblin becomes the friend of an old master carpenter.
This was fun to create. Hope you like!

ohhh yes, I am obsessed with these light, flowy fabrics for my photos. Tried a few new ones and found this shiny, super light lining fabric. Wow, it's awesome! So you can see me pulling the fabric through the air over and over and being entranced by the shiny waves and flows. In combination with my silver Zentai from Kantiliu just simply superb. Well, uh... the suit is very thin and very tight fitting, a bit too revealing in some pictures maybe :-) Anyhow, I really like it!!
Only the flash duration of my flashes I do not understand. Does anyone know about electrolytic capacitors and xenon discharge? I have a feeling the shortest flash duration doesn't get below 1/100s or so. It should be much shorter than that. The flashes have 300Ws and usually run at 1/32 - 1/16 power. Shouldn't under 1/1000s discharge times be possible without any problems? I've been dicking around with this for a long time and it remains a mystery to me. Sometimes a longer exposure time and some motion blur can be good, but I also want to be able to freeze motion with very short flash exposure times. Ambient light is not the issue, its the same when using the flashes in completely dark environments. Any hints welcome!

A small shimmering dark gray pearl, wrapped in the glow of the light. This is the next of my new suits: 'oily dark gray'. Its an amazingly shiny and smooth fabric, gives a fanstastic fit and a very good craftsmanship. The blue light fits well with it, emphasizes the shiny smoothness of the suit.

In gallery 209 "Tan" I did wear a tan nylon tights for the first time and tried to get a good shiny effect on them. Now I tried to redo that old gallery and put the learned experiences into practice (gallery 245). Hard light from two sides, main light near to camera seems to give a good shinyness and bright hightlights on the nylons.

Actually I don't like the floor in my flat so much. The fake marble pattern can look quite dirty and distracting in pictures. But in the recent Galleries 263, 260 and 254 I've noticed in some images there is a nice shine on the floor. So I have tested different lighting settings to achieve the best mirroring and gave the floor a thorough cleaning with a high-gloss floor detergent. The mirroring is still weak, therefore the shadows from my body must overlay the reflection in order not to fade the mirroring. The only way I could handle this is to face the flashes agains the walls behind me and not to light up the mirror image too much. After some tests I think this is the best I can do. The reflections add another interesting component to the images, which I really like. What do you think?

In gallery 249 I signaled that I will bring the sharkskin zentai to the shower. Apart from that, one thing I wanted to try for long time is using my black PVC tarp in the tub to create a black background. Well, the use of the tarp in that way was quite annoying. I struggled to keep it in place, need to pin it back every few minutes. Also the tarp limited the small available space even more. Anyhow, the result of the milky water on the black background worked great.
Does anyone has an idea how to temporary paint black a tub/shower?
The fabric of the suit is amazing but different from the speedo fastskin. The genuinely fastskin is more water-repellent than the sharkskin zentai. Compared to ordinary spandex the sharkskin fabric keeps it tightness much more when wet and seems to dry a bit faster. I'm still in love with this suit.

I don't know what to write... things are changing so fast while the world is or going to be on lockdown.
This is my gallery 250! It is showing my new LatexCatfish suit made from 0.2mm latex, custom made, with attached toe-socks. Furthermore I got a latex blow-up ball mask which is amazing. The suit fit very well but not perfect. Still much better than the 0.6mm suit I got before. The thinner latex is much more stretchable and can conceal small misfittings. The toe-socks are nice and comfy to wear. Just the toes are getting cold ofter some time. The mask is not comfortable to wear but looks fantastic. Breathing is quite limited through the inner tubes and its quite important to avoid some position where these inner tubes can get bend or even snapped off. Luckily its easy to get the mask off fast. It can just pulled off upward or by pushing with both hands from the sides and force the inner mask to get inside out and free the head. I wish I had it ordered without the zipper. The zip disrupt the nice ball shape and is not necessary to put it on of off. Hearing is dull and very damped. Visibility is blocked. Not able to see anything was the hardest handicap for me taking pictures.
Post-production was extremly time-consuming. I tried to max out the small differences at the tones to show how close the thin latex is sucked on the skin. Showing all the small details of muscles and body shapes. That worked well. By manipulate the tonal values / curves I unfortunately intensified the visibility small particles like dust and dirt. And on a slick surface covered with sticky oil, there will be lot of these particles... So I spend days of retouching at least the most annoying stuff on every single image. Not on every picture with the same thoroughness but still the differences compared to the un-touched images are frightening. You cannot tell the difference at first climpse, but images just looked imperfect. Still, that was a heck of work.
The images of this gallery were taken about mid of January. Long time before Corona (SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19) was pandemic. Today it would pass as a hazard suit :-) But that was not my intenion. We will see what will happen in the next days and weeks. Maybe I will have a lot of time to do more galleries soon... I hope not.

Another color combination gallery! Following the galleries 261, 262, 264 and 267 now with blue in front of red. The color contrast is not that big and the purple/violet mixed color does look sometimes quite strange. Anyhow, its always fun to take those images. Hope you like it too!

I still like to combine red, blue and green with tights, leotards and zentais. Also I did manage to position a flash on the ceilling to create that downlight. Well, a lot of interessting shadows but also a lot of dark areas. Really cool are the changing colors on the background caused by reflecting light off the fabrics.

For some time now, we have had this little human robot as an assistant. It is a prototype with many flaws and bugs. Every few hours, it has to go to the charging station. It can plug in the charging cable by itself - most of the time. Sometimes the plugging in does not work and the battery voltage decreases too much, so that it switches into a save-state. Sometimes there are also fatal errors during charging and the entire system crashes. Firmware updates if available are also installed after a successful charging process. If the motion-sensing software has been updated, it makes a test of the movements that look like a crazy dance. The motors and sensors are calibrated and limit switches are tested. Strange errors occur here as well. To monitore the failures we have a camera installed to be able to analyze what happens when another error occurs. Some pictures are very funny, others a bit strange.
So see what a robot does when it is alone and the software goes nuts again...

just a small gallery I made some time ago. I had the idea with the umbrella and a ballet costume, but I didn't know how to do it. The leotard is the first string body I have (not my thing honestly) and the tights are a classic cotton mix ballet tights. A nice combination and the tights are great to wear. So I just started with this and... well, the result you can see here.

The cute little tiger has fun in front of the camera and shows what he can do. The posing works quite well and he demonstrates what he can already do. Amazingly agile the little one.
I have the suit for a while. Only the seams are very weak and I had to rework some seams. Unfortunately, the suits are not available with hood. Still a cool design!

While sorting and organizing my suits, I thought it's time for a layering gallery again. I looked at the last galleries with this theme (Galleries 217, 202, 183-184, 158, 91-92, 72-73, 53) and of course I wanted to top everything. But this time I have overdone it. The compression was too strong, the heat too much, the restriction of movement too severe. It became really uncomfortable (33 Layers in total!).
Still, it was fun, at least when I got myself out of the suits again.

Usually not my style but after putting my couch in my bedroom in front of a bare white wall, set up a cold and hard light and cover myself into my platinum zentai, it really creates a steel look.

I found my old black venyl tarp and tried a new setup in my bath tub with it. The black background should create a much better visibility for the water drops but the lighting setup need to be improved further. Also the studio strobe have a too long flash duration so there is still movement in the drops. Next time I will try it with my flashgun. That also could allow different lighting angles than I can do with the studio strobe.
Err.. yes, the white realise suit and the white zentai are getting very transparent when wet.

I made many variations of RGB galleries with always new combinations of red / green / blue leotards, tights and centais. Looking at the color star, a combination of purple / spring green / orange should also result in a high color contrast. So here we go. The effect does not look as strong as with classic red, green, blue, but still a nice combination.

Head up in the clouds, dreaming of flying through the mists...
I once again played with the organza fabrics and tried different lighting styles. But the result is essentially a rather radical color shift in post-processing. The strong color contrast between the orange suit and the blue light in combination with the shadings of the organza fabric look absolutely fantastic.

Take some basic red, green and blue. Put them seperatly on a large board, add some hard light and a pinch of magic. To keep the colors seperatly, use some blacks to cover the color underneath. Knead the whole mixture well for about 45min and leave it covered to rest it afterwards.

I haven't done latex for a long time even I got a new hood from Yuelan some time ago. So finaly here is a new mannequin showing off. The black plastic figure shows a white shirt and white shorts but quickly gets rid of it. After that, you can see the skin of the artificial figure in its fully covered nudity. Hope you like!

Since the sports facilities and gyms are still closed and I do not have many ideas for new galleries, taking new photos is therefore always a good opportunity to do some sports. Posing alone can be quite exhausting, adding some stretching and strengthening and you have a good hour of workout. So this is quite an ordinary gallery, nevertheless I think the pictures are nice. The bright leotard over the black zentai looks great with the hard, cold light.

I haven't done latex for a long time even I got a new hood from Yuelan some time ago. So finaly here is a new mannequin showing off. The black plastic figure shows a white shirt and white shorts but quickly gets rid of it. After that, you can see the skin of the artificial figure in its fully covered nudity. Hope you like!

This week's workout again consisted of posing, stretching and a bit of strengthening. The large softbox from the front creates a super soft light, which goes great with the ballet theme. A bit more to the side would probably be better to create a bit more contrast on curves and body parts. But the combination of warm light from the front and cold light from above is really good.

The Mirroring can be quite fascinating. For some time I have been thinking about how I can improve this effect even forther. Everything I could think of so far was too expensive or too bulky to handle. Until I came up with the rescue blankets. Cheap and handy. Just to lay it flat it on the floor (with some water spray) is a bit tricky and messy. The result is not a perfect clean reflection, but the look is quite brilliant. Hope you like it too!

Back in the shower again. This time with fresh batteries for my flashgun and my old blue Speedo Fastskin.
Light and shadows are hard but water drops are quite good with little motion blur. The fabric got soaked but still the water rinse nicely.
I did use the 50mm lens to get some more close-ups. Overall a quite nice set of pictures :-)

Some time ago I saw a performance of a dance group that wore classical ballet costumes and over them transparent pants and a shiny jacket, which was included in the performance. I loved the idea and here is my interpretation:

I have always wanted to experiment with modeling balloons. Very funny like being equipped with an exoskeleton. The hard light emphasize the new body shape with strong shadows. With the added insulation from the balloons and layer of air, the alien suit is quite warm. The alien therefore loses some fluid. It still has to acclimatize.

In biology, molting, also known as sloughing, shedding, or in many invertebrates, ecdysis, is the manner in which an animal routinely casts off a part of its body (often, but not always, an outer layer or covering), either at specific times of the year, or at specific points in its life cycle.[1]
Molting occurs periodically throughout the life of a snake. Before each molt, the snake stops eating and often hides or moves to a safe place. Just before shedding, the skin becomes dull and dry looking and the snake's eyes turn cloudy or blue-colored. The inner surface of the old skin liquefies, causing it to separate from the new skin beneath it. After a few days, the eyes become clear and the snake "crawls" out of its old skin, which splits close to the snake's mouth. The snake rubs its body against rough surfaces to aid in the shedding of its old skin. In many cases, the cast skin peels backward over the body from head to tail in one piece, like pulling a sock off inside-out, revealing a new, larger, brighter layer of skin which has formed underneath.[2]

... on the wall, who is the fairest of one all?
Another set with the mirrored floor. It was a hell of a lot of work in postprocessing to clean it up that much. But the effect is just amazing!

Will applying an impregnation spray make Lycra water repellent?
No. Unfortunately the effect is minimal and disappears quickly. Perhaps a wash-in impregnator would work better. But I think that the fibers should be made repellent during the production process itself to create a permanent effect. So the suit gets soaked like regular lycra.
After Gallery 249 "Shark·Zen·Tai" and 252 "White Water" here are new pictures with my amazing sharkskin-zentai just ordinary in the shower, no gimmicks.

I've got this retro style leotard which is very similar to a leotard I had as a kid. Not sure about the details back then but the ivory white with the blue stripes is just like in my memories. The good old times™. Well, an old leotard unfortunately does not bring back the old skills and flexibility. Damn, I wished it so much :-)

Stained Wood (90 pictures)

Props are not really my thing and I struggle to find and use good ones. But with the wooden chairs it worked out really well for this gallery. The old chairs are just waxed rosewood, not stained. But if you wanted to give this crazy figurine a similar look, staining would probably be an option. Or a dyed wood oil instead? The important thing for me is that the many small grains and veins in the wood remain clearly visible. Probably an oil is better to keep the wood resistant and supple ;-)

Here you can see the naive me trying to show some classical ballet positions. Without a teacher and without a mirror, unfortunately, it looks more ridiculous than elegant. In addition I have also mixed up all the positions. To look good in these positions with the correct foot position, body tension, as well as legs, shoulders, arms, hands, head in the correct posture is an art in itself. Not to mention expressing drama and emotions at the same time. Definitely not my art :-)
Anyway, it was a good workout and fun.

I took these pictures a long time ago, but it was a heck of a job to retouch the black background cleanly. It was worth it!
It's so nice to see the body lines and shapes detached from the actual object, represented only by a geometric mesh whose frequency changes with each movement. A bit like a 3D mesh for a rendering. Too bad I had only two pairs of that fishnet tights so I could not cover my head with it too.

Mix red and yellow and you'll get orange? Well, that was what I expected when I put a yellow suit on top of a red one and went in the tub. That effect is not that visible than I hoped. At the wet areas the yellow got much darker, but thats what it always does. The yellow fabric seems to be too thick to get transparent much enough. Anyhow, its nice how the fishnet tights seperates the two fabrics partly and creates some nice patterns.
Maybe I should try it someday with a white suit on top of a black suit to increase the contrast between wet and dry areas.
Unfortunately I accidentally pull the plug without noticing and the green colored water flushed away.

Playing with light is always also playing with time. In this arty gallery I have given myself some longer time for motion ;-)
The luminous exposure Hv is Ev × t, where Ev is the illuminance and t is exposure time.
Hv is directly proportional to t / k2, where k is the f-number of the lens.
Using a longer exposure time with the same exposure Hv needs larger f-number (smaller aperture). In these images my shutter speed was 1/4s and in some images 1/2s with k = 5.6. That result in a EV value of 6-7. Err... nerding around

This suit has been in my closet for over a year because it is much too small for me. It was too tight to get it over my shoulders and close the zip. Finally I found a zentai suit where the fabrics glide very well over each other. With that I managed to squeeze into that amazing luge suit. The compression was very strong but still it was nice to wear. Just the collar was too tight.
In combination with my soccer shoes, goalkeeper gloves, sunglasses and a simple light setup, a nice new gallery is the result. Hope you like!
