Hi strangers! I have been busy, busy with building my own DIY free website www.intrinsicmixedmedia.com Buildng this frame is my first tutorial (haven't finished it yet) it's out of western red cedar to fit the first mosaic tutorial of a bromeliade. I will also be selling the frames with the substrate, so all you have to do is mosaic it. I'd love you all to have a squizzy and tell me what you think so far? It's really time consuming and confusing and hard. If it works out the way I plan...I'll be a very happy girl!

It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been posting here and there, but my attempts to be an active member in the photo community have been lackluster. And in those attempts, I have failed to include my still-precious dollies.

Flickr has been a home for me for the last ten years. I began my account as a child in 2009. Since then, I have been able to explore myself through this hobby, all while appreciating art, making friends, and learning about the world. I now face day to day adult responsibilities, and I cannot deny how much my life on Flickr has made contributions to the person I have become.

This online existence of mine ended years ago. The last time I posted a doll photo was in 2015. Even though my life is far different now, I'm the same person--there's a part of me that has been empty without photography.

What I'm trying to say is this: Flickr world, I miss you.

The reasons for my absence are complex. I didn't "grow out of" my dolls like some do. I believe there always is (or should be) room in one's life for imagination and creativity. The problem was one that I could not foresee, a series of significant life events that made me confused and very sad. It wasn't just my Flickr hobby that died, it was all of them. I gave up on everything I cared about. For a while, I just needed to focus on the basics like my health and education.

Just recently, since the start of 2019, I've begun to recover the parts of myself that I have lost. Slowly but surely I'm remembering how to have simple pleasures. I'm going to be here on Flickr a bit more now. I can't wait to see all your beautiful work.

Peace and love,

Ceci ♥

P.S. Because Flickr sucks now as a free website, I need to start figuring out the best way to deal with the new inconveniences. Much of the doll community is giving up and leaving this platform, understandably. Does anyone have any ideas about other websites or social media where doll photographers are congregating? Or is doll photo culture as a whole dying out?

Baker Beach is a public beach on the peninsula of San Francisco, California, U.S.. The beach lies on the shore of the Pacific Ocean to the northwest of the city. It is roughly a half mile long, beginning just south of Golden Gate Point (where the Golden Gate Bridge connects with the peninsula), extending southward toward the Seacliff peninsula, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Sutro Baths. The northern section of Baker Beach is "frequented by clothing-optional sunbathers". As such it is considered a nude beach.[1][2]

[edit]History

Baker Beach is part of the Presidio, which was a military base from the founding of San Francisco by the Spanish in 1776 until 1997. In 1904, it was fortified with disappearing gun installations known as Battery Chamberlin, which can still be viewed today.[3] When the Presidio was decommissioned as a U.S. Army base, it became part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which is administered by the National Park Service.

From 1986 to 1990, the north end of Baker Beach was the original site of the Burning Man art festival. In 1990, park police allowed participants to raise the traditional large statue but not to set it on fire, since the beach enforces a limit on the size of any campfires. Subsequent Burning Man events have taken place in Black Rock Desert, Nevada.[4]

A shark attack occurred on Baker Beach on May 7, 1959[5] when 18-year old Albert Kogler Jr. was attacked by a great white shark while he was 15 feet deep in water.[6] This was the only shark attack recorded on Baker Beach.

Large outcrops of serpentine cliffs occur along the Pacific coast near Baker Beach. When rising from the land surface, serpentine produces a low-calcium, high-magnesium soil that can allow for rare species of plants to develop in the vicinity.[1] This may explain the presence of Hesperolinon congestum (the Marin Dwarf Flax, a threatened plant) in surrounding areas.[citation needed]

Sorry for the absence, I've been busy with a lot of different projects. Hopefully I'll get my new site up and running, so you guys can purchase prints directly through me. No more middle man. I'll be using the new square app on my iphone4. Pretty cool app if you ask me.. . Oh yea my pro account expired, so I'll post until it fills up. Can't believe they still charge $24.95 when instagram is free. . . Soon there will be a free website for sharing photos because everything will be on clouds. . no more hdd's

I got to get out and about yesterday shooting with my Bro, Larry.. thanks for the chicken soup and salmon and distractions from feeling miserable, Larry bobshots! Just after getting this shot of Trout Creek there was a crash of thunder and we got dumped on! Made a great comeback after treats at Heavenly grounds in Trout Lake, Washington where I sell my photo cards, and the evening included a wonderful sunset shoot from the Marina in Hood River, Oregon.

Side effects include nearly complete loss of voice... but who needs to talk anyway, highly over rated! I am happy, that is what counts!

The light coming out here also reminds me of the joy i feel knowing my brother Roger is again home from the hospital after his recent bout with pneumonia...

ROGER I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! It sucks that I got sick and can't even go visit him!

I finally got a blue sharkskin zentai suit too! In my 2019 order I had ordered a black and a blue, but the blue fabric was not available. Since ordering from this particular Chinese manufacturer is complex and time-consuming, I haven't ordered from them in a long time. In my current large order, I was finally able to order the blue suit - and the suit is awesome! This fabric has something of its own, special, unique. Just like the black version too. Hard to describe. But I love it!

Great that there are always some new fabrics and good tailors who know how to create a perfect suit with it. Even if it is not easy to find them.

In late September 2021 we planned to start in a Swim-Fun-Run event. This should be just a everybody Swim & Run with focus on fun and party, not actually athletic competition. My triathlon buddy was injured before and is still rebuilding and I have had very little training lately, so this should be a good motivation to start training again. Since all types of clothing were allowed (even costumes, as long as you can swim in them without problems), I seriously considered competing in a zentai suit. Unfortunately, breathing in a wet zentai is extremely difficult, but running should be fine. The mask can be removed at any time. Unfortunately, the Covid cases in Germany were already high at that time, so we decided not to participate.

The fetish way of my outfit can be seen in this gallery. I could not think of a good name for this gallery :-)

Hope you enjoy!

Stay safe and healthy!

I have not worn latex for a long time. It was time for a new gallery. The shooting was already a few weeks ago, it was still quite warm. Completely packed in the protective suit including the thermo-hood it was extremely hot. The heat of the lava from below was adding to it. So it became a pretty sweaty affair.

The idea with the orange bed sheet is not as good as I thought. Somehow too confusing with the reflections in different colors, at least for my taste. Anyhow, hope you like it!

Actually, I wanted to let the blue organza fabric float through the air, but I was too dazzled by the suit :-) The suit should actually be red, but is a very strong pink. An extra soft, extremely smooth, super stretchy and very shiny fabric. Simply brilliant!

A red color key creates a color contrast with just one color. Even the background is white, the lovely sharksin suit is black and the only color comes from the red organza fabric, a lot of light red color has been around which I removed mostly. I really like that effect. What do you think?

This suit is the 2nd of my suits with textured PU-coating, after the carbon suit. Really an amazing effect with a shimmering surface that changes depending on the angle of the light.

The coating is air-tight and sucks to the skin, which feels even tighter, but I had to pinch holes in the mask to breath. With my face-shield underneath the breathing is OK. Overall a great suit!

Hope you like!

Last year I got my first real freediving wetsuit. Before that I always used triathlon wetsuits or surf suits for freediving. The triathlon suits are good to wear but often too cold, surf suits are better but often not so flexible. So now a real freediving suit. No open-cell stuff, that's too complicated and too sensitive for me. Nevertheless, I have found a suit with a shiny outer material and an attractive design. So far I had only a short test swim and am thrilled. Super comfortable to wear, very warm, very flexible.

What do you think?

Three different types of blue, three different types of fabric, three different types of gloss, two different colors of light, two colors of background, one model. I have the suits and tights for a long time and combinations of zentai, tights and leotard I have made many. Mostly of them with maximum color differences. So this time it is something single-color.

Somehow there is a lot of blue in my pictures lately. No idea why and what that means. It just fits and I like it. Hope you like it too!

Mirroring again, slightly different camera angle, slightly different positions of the flashes.

Very hard contrast, amazing shine on the blue suit and gorgous reflections on the icy surface.

Color mixing and color spaces are something I have been interested in for a long time. After playing a lot with the colors red-green-blue and trying various combinations with them, the subtractive CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key (black)) which is used in printing as four-color-process is still missing in the view of classic color mixes.

RGB is used for self-luminous colors (e.g. LEDs, monitors). The combination of all three basic colors results in white / white light. All colors "switched off" is black.

CMYK is used in printing. If one of the basic colors is illuminated with white light, the basic color appears in the reflected light. Unprinted surfaces are white. Mixing all the basic colors (theoretically) results in black, since all light is absorbed by the colors. To save ink for dark areas, to prevent the paper from becoming wet due to too much ink, and to increase contrast, black is used in addition.

For my spandex combinations, I still like the RGB variations best. What do you think of my CYMK colors?

Nacre, also known as mother of pearl, is an organic–inorganic composite material produced by some molluscs as an inner shell layer; it is also the material of which pearls are composed. It is strong, resilient, and iridescent. ... Nacre appears iridescent because the thickness of the aragonite platelets is close to the wavelength of visible light. These structures interfere constructively and destructively with different wavelengths of light at different viewing angles, creating structural colours. [1]

Depending on the lighting, this suit always looks slightly different, shimmers in different colors and can appear from metallic reflective to dark matte. Simply brilliant!

Since the ban of full body tech suits by FINA at the end of 2009, the shiny suits have become extremely rare. There followed a short period in 2010/2011 when there was a good selection of Adidas, Speedo, Arena, etc. suits and luckily I was able to get hold of some. Unfortunately, the years do not pass unnoticed on the fabrics and they slowly dissolve in places. Time to bring them once again from the dark depths of my collection to the light in front of the camera!

The thin, super smooth and extremely soft fabric still has a strong compression. This makes the old Adidas suits something very special, unique. Simply great to wear.

What do you think?

ohhh yes, I am obsessed with these light, flowy fabrics for my photos. Tried a few new ones and found this shiny, super light lining fabric. Wow, it's awesome! So you can see me pulling the fabric through the air over and over and being entranced by the shiny waves and flows. In combination with my silver Zentai from Kantiliu just simply superb. Well, uh... the suit is very thin and very tight fitting, a bit too revealing in some pictures maybe :-) Anyhow, I really like it!!

Only the flash duration of my flashes I do not understand. Does anyone know about electrolytic capacitors and xenon discharge? I have a feeling the shortest flash duration doesn't get below 1/100s or so. It should be much shorter than that. The flashes have 300Ws and usually run at 1/32 - 1/16 power. Shouldn't under 1/1000s discharge times be possible without any problems? I've been dicking around with this for a long time and it remains a mystery to me. Sometimes a longer exposure time and some motion blur can be good, but I also want to be able to freeze motion with very short flash exposure times. Ambient light is not the issue, its the same when using the flashes in completely dark environments. Any hints welcome!

I saw a manga strip with a soccer boy in a leotard and tried to recreate it. The result reminded me a lot of the German children's story "Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl", in which an imaginary character in the form of a little red-haired goblin becomes the friend of an old master carpenter.

This was fun to create. Hope you like!

A small shimmering dark gray pearl, wrapped in the glow of the light. This is the next of my new suits: 'oily dark gray'. Its an amazingly shiny and smooth fabric, gives a fanstastic fit and a very good craftsmanship. The blue light fits well with it, emphasizes the shiny smoothness of the suit.

In gallery 209 "Tan" I did wear a tan nylon tights for the first time and tried to get a good shiny effect on them. Now I tried to redo that old gallery and put the learned experiences into practice (gallery 245). Hard light from two sides, main light near to camera seems to give a good shinyness and bright hightlights on the nylons.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Actually I don't like the floor in my flat so much. The fake marble pattern can look quite dirty and distracting in pictures. But in the recent Galleries 263, 260 and 254 I've noticed in some images there is a nice shine on the floor. So I have tested different lighting settings to achieve the best mirroring and gave the floor a thorough cleaning with a high-gloss floor detergent. The mirroring is still weak, therefore the shadows from my body must overlay the reflection in order not to fade the mirroring. The only way I could handle this is to face the flashes agains the walls behind me and not to light up the mirror image too much. After some tests I think this is the best I can do. The reflections add another interesting component to the images, which I really like. What do you think?

I don't know what to write... things are changing so fast while the world is or going to be on lockdown.

This is my gallery 250! It is showing my new LatexCatfish suit made from 0.2mm latex, custom made, with attached toe-socks. Furthermore I got a latex blow-up ball mask which is amazing. The suit fit very well but not perfect. Still much better than the 0.6mm suit I got before. The thinner latex is much more stretchable and can conceal small misfittings. The toe-socks are nice and comfy to wear. Just the toes are getting cold ofter some time. The mask is not comfortable to wear but looks fantastic. Breathing is quite limited through the inner tubes and its quite important to avoid some position where these inner tubes can get bend or even snapped off. Luckily its easy to get the mask off fast. It can just pulled off upward or by pushing with both hands from the sides and force the inner mask to get inside out and free the head. I wish I had it ordered without the zipper. The zip disrupt the nice ball shape and is not necessary to put it on of off. Hearing is dull and very damped. Visibility is blocked. Not able to see anything was the hardest handicap for me taking pictures.

Post-production was extremly time-consuming. I tried to max out the small differences at the tones to show how close the thin latex is sucked on the skin. Showing all the small details of muscles and body shapes. That worked well. By manipulate the tonal values / curves I unfortunately intensified the visibility small particles like dust and dirt. And on a slick surface covered with sticky oil, there will be lot of these particles... So I spend days of retouching at least the most annoying stuff on every single image. Not on every picture with the same thoroughness but still the differences compared to the un-touched images are frightening. You cannot tell the difference at first climpse, but images just looked imperfect. Still, that was a heck of work.

The images of this gallery were taken about mid of January. Long time before Corona (SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19) was pandemic. Today it would pass as a hazard suit :-) But that was not my intenion. We will see what will happen in the next days and weeks. Maybe I will have a lot of time to do more galleries soon... I hope not.

Meanwhile, go to my website and enjoy the anniversary Gallery 250 "Sphere"!

Stay healthy! Best wishes to all!

just a small gallery I made some time ago. I had the idea with the umbrella and a ballet costume, but I didn't know how to do it. The leotard is the first string body I have (not my thing honestly) and the tights are a classic cotton mix ballet tights. A nice combination and the tights are great to wear. So I just started with this and... well, the result you can see here.
