03 Mayıs 13.00'te Galatasaray Lisesi önünde 3 Mayıs Dünya Basın Özgürlüğü Günü kapsamında aktivistlerimizle bir eylem gerçekleştirdik.
Bugün 3 Mayıs Dünya Basın Özgürlüğü Günü… Ancak, bu günü Türkiye’de gönül rahatlığı ile kutlayamıyoruz. Çünkü Türkiye’de basın özgürlüğü ve ifade özgürlüğü hakkı ciddi bir şekilde kısıtlanıyor. Gazeteciler sadece mesleklerini icra ettikleri için kovuşturmaya uğruyor ve hapis cezası alıyor. Birçok gazeteci, yasalar yoluyla, adeta taciz edilircesine, aynı anda birçok davadan yargılanıyor. Birçoğu uzun yargılanma süreleri boyunca cezaevinde tutuluyor.
Uluslararası Af Örgütü, Mart ayında “Türkiye: İfade özgürlüğünün tam zamanı” adlı bir rapor yayımlayarak Türkiye’de ifade özgürlüğü hakkını ve bu hakkın önünde engel teşkil eden 10 yasa maddesini mercek altına aldı. Rapor, bu yasa maddelerinin insan hakları savunucuları, avukatlar ve siyasi aktivistlerle birlikte birçok gazeteciyi de kovuşturmak için kullanıldığını ortaya koymaktadır.
Raporun açıklanmasının ardından Nisan 2013’te Dördüncü Yargı Paketi kabul edildi. Uluslararası Af Örgütü, yargı reformundaki değişiklikleri memnuniyetle karşılamaktadır ancak Dördüncü Yargı Paketi basın özgürlüğünün ve genel anlamda ifade özgürlüğünün önünde engel teşkil eden yasaları değiştirmede yetersiz kalmıştır.
Gazetecilerin herhangi bir şekilde kovuşturmaya uğrama korkusu olmadan mesleki faaliyetlerini yerine getirebilmesi gerektiğini ve ifade özgürlüğü hakkının korunması gerektiğini savunan bizler, hükümeti, ifade özgürlüğü önünde engel teşkil eden ve sıklıkla gazetecilerin de kovuşturmaya uğramasına sebebiyet veren yasaları derhal değiştirmeye çağırıyoruz.
Bu amaçla:
Türk Ceza Kanunu’nun,
- Hrant Dink’in de zamanında yargılanmasına neden olan “Türk milletini aşağılama” başlıklı 301. Maddesi’nin, Yasemin Çongar gibi askerlikle ilgili yazdığı yazılar nedeniyle gazetecilerin yargılanmasına neden olan “Halkı askerlikten soğutmak” başlıklı 318. Maddesi’nin ve bunlarla birlikte “Suçu ve suçluyu övme” başlıklı 215. Maddesi’nin ve “Örgüt adına suç işlemek” konusunda düzenleme yapan 220/6. Maddesi’nin tümüyle kaldırılmasını,
-Ahmet Şık ve Nedim Şener’in kovuşturulmasına sebebiyet veren 220/7. Maddesi’nin uygulanmasıyla ilgili net kriterlerin belirlenmesini;
Ayrıca, Terörle Mücadele Kanunu’nda yer alan ve Ziya Çiçekçi gibi gazetecilerin yargılanmasına neden olan 6/2. Madde’nin yürürlükten kaldırılmasını ve 7/2. Madde’nin sadece şiddet kışkırtıcılığını savunmanın yasaklanmasını garanti altına alacak şekilde değiştirilmesini talep ediyoruz.
Son olarak, hükümeti, Anayasa’nın halihazırda birçok kısıtlama içeren 26. Maddesi’ni, ifade özgürlüğü hakkının korunmasını uluslararası standartlarla uyumlu hale getirerek güvence altına alacak şekilde değiştirmeye çağırıyoruz.
Falun Gong or Falun Dafa is an Chinese spiritual practice founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi, that is good for health, mind and body. Its teachings are of the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, which help practitioners improve themselves from the inside out. Such a beautiful practice has benefited over 400 million people in 85 countries around the world, yet in China, its place of origin, it is being violently persecuted by the Chinese Communist Government.
Right now in China, hundreds of thousands Falun Dafa practitioners are being brutally persecuted. Thousands have already died at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Those who survived the detention camps have brought their stories to the public; stories of horrifying torture, physical and mental abuse, and worst of all, live organ harvesting.
The CCP is making a profit from taking the organs from live practitioners and selling them to hospitals for transplant patients. After the bodies are harvested of all useful organs the bodies are then burned to rid of any evidence.
One of the most devastating facts about the situation is that the people of China do not even know what is going on. Because the CCP has such a control over every aspect of China, including the media, they have lied to their people, calling Falun Dafa an "evil cult". Because we have freedom of speech and press in our countries, it is our duty to expose one of the most evil persecutions in history.

Çin’de gizli olarak inşa edilmiş ve organ ticaretinde doğrudan rol alan toplama kampları ortaya çıkarıldı. Bunlardan birisi de Sujiatin Toplama Kampı.
Sujiatin bölgesi Shenyang kenti Lioning beldesinde insan organları için büyük bir pazarın varlığı kanıtlandı. Doku uyumu, organların alınması ve cesetlerin yok edilmesi süreci, organ sağlayıcısı konumundaki tutsakların kaçırıldığı ölüm kampından başlayıp sonu hastaneye yani “organ pazarına” kadar çıkıyor. Tüm bu yollar için sistematik bir düzen geliştirilmiş. Bu düzen, elde edilecek organların türüne göre tutsakların nasıl infaz edileceklerini belirleyen tamamiyle farklı bir düzen. Kaçırılmanın ardından, dış dünya ile tüm bağlantısı kesilen Falun Dafa uygulayıcılarının organları çıkartılıyor ve cesetleri hemen yakılıyor. Kimse nerede olduklarını ve nasıl yok edildiklerini bilmediğinden, geride hiç bir kanıt kalmıyor.
Sujiatun Toplama kampındaki operasyonlar 2001 senesinde başlamış ve çalışmalar 2002 yılında en yoğun halini almış. Daha önceleri hava kuvvetleri üssü olarak veya daha başka yer altı faaliyetleri için kullanılan bu yer, bir toplama kampı haline dönüştürülmüş. Yapılan bütün operasyonlar yeraltında gerçekleştiriliyor ve burası Sujiatun’daki bir hastanenin yakınında bulunuyor. Bir kapısı, hastanenin arka girişindeki kapılarından birine bağlı. Dışarıdan bakıldığında sıradışı görünen hiçbir şey yok. Bu kuruluş çok ciddi bir güvenlik altında ve dışarıyla alakası tamamen kesik. İhtiyaçlarını yeraltı dükkanları ile karşılıyor.
Bu olay, organ nakli yöntemlerini yürüten, destek zinciriyle birbirine bağlantılı merkezleri ve yerel hastaneleri de içeriyor. Shenyang ve Lianoing’deki yüksek düzeydeki devlet memurlarının ve özellikle sağlık yönetim kuruluşlarında çalışanların hepsi suç ortakları. Bu amaçla:
Türk Ceza Kanunu’nun,
- Hrant Dink’in de zamanında yargılanmasına neden olan “Türk milletini aşağılama” başlıklı 301. Maddesi’nin, Yasemin Çongar gibi askerlikle ilgili yazdığı yazılar nedeniyle gazetecilerin yargılanmasına neden olan “Halkı askerlikten soğutmak” başlıklı 318. Maddesi’nin ve bunlarla birlikte “Suçu ve suçluyu övme” başlıklı 215. Maddesi’nin ve “Örgüt adına suç işlemek” konusunda düzenleme yapan 220/6. Maddesi’nin tümüyle kaldırılmasını,
-Ahmet Şık ve Nedim Şener’in kovuşturulmasına sebebiyet veren 220/7. Maddesi’nin uygulanmasıyla ilgili net kriterlerin belirlenmesini;
Ayrıca, Terörle Mücadele Kanunu’nda yer alan ve Ziya Çiçekçi gibi gazetecilerin yargılanmasına neden olan 6/2. Madde’nin yürürlükten kaldırılmasını ve 7/2. Madde’nin sadece şiddet kışkırtıcılığını savunmanın yasaklanmasını garanti altına alacak şekilde değiştirilmesini talep ediyoruz.
Son olarak, hükümeti, Anayasa’nın halihazırda birçok kısıtlama içeren 26. Maddesi’ni, ifade özgürlüğü hakkının korunmasını uluslararası standartlarla uyumlu hale getirerek güvence altına alacak şekilde değiştirmeye çağırıyoruz.

Falun Gong or Falun Dafa is an Chinese spiritual practice founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi, that is good for health, mind and body. Its teachings are of the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, which help practitioners improve themselves from the inside out. Such a beautiful practice has benefited over 400 million people in 85 countries around the world, yet in China, its place of origin, it is being violently persecuted by the Chinese Communist Government.
Right now in China, hundreds of thousands Falun Dafa practitioners are being brutally persecuted. Thousands have already died at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Those who survived the detention camps have brought their stories to the public; stories of horrifying torture, physical and mental abuse, and worst of all, live organ harvesting.
The CCP is making a profit from taking the organs from live practitioners and selling them to hospitals for transplant patients. After the bodies are harvested of all useful organs the bodies are then burned to rid of any evidence.
One of the most devastating facts about the situation is that the people of China do not even know what is going on. Because the CCP has such a control over every aspect of China, including the media, they have lied to their people, calling Falun Dafa an "evil cult". Because we have freedom of speech and press in our countries, it is our duty to expose one of the most evil persecutions in history.

La sera del 25 settembre circa 300 persone sono state arrestate durante le proteste contro la giunta militare del Consiglio di Stato per la pace e lo sviluppo (Spdc), nell’ex capitale Yangon, nella seconda città più grande, Mandalay, così come a Meiktila, a Pakokku e a Mogok. Amnesty International ha appreso che diverse persone sono entrate in clandestinità per evitare l’arresto.
Alcuni arresti erano già avvenuti la sera del 24 settembre, ma la maggior parte ha avuto luogo nelle successive 36 ore, con l’intensificarsi del giro di vite da parte delle forze di sicurezza. Tra le persone arrestate vi sono tra i 50 e i 100 monaci di Yangon, il parlamentare Paik Ko e almeno un altro esponente del principale partito d’opposizione, la Lega nazionale per la democrazia (Nld) guidata da Aung San Suu Kyi, diversi altri membri dell’Nld e altre figure pubbliche, tra cui il famoso attore e prigioniero di coscienza Zargana (conosciuto anche come Ko Thura). Amnesty International crede che questi e altri detenuti si trovino a rischio di tortura o altri maltrattamenti.
Fonti governative hanno confermato ai giornalisti che almeno tre monaci sono stati uccisi a Yangon: uno da un colpo d’arma da fuoco e gli altri due a seguito di un pestaggio. Fonti non ufficiali hanno fatto sapere ad Amnesty International che oltre 50 monaci sono rimasti feriti.
Nonostante l’alta tensione, migliaia di persone continuano a manifestare nelle strade contro il governo, guidate dai monaci, i quali hanno però voluto proteggere la popolazione chiedendo di non prendere parte alle dimostrazioni.
Sembra che le forze di sicurezza abbiano percosso i manifestanti con manganelli, utilizzato gas lacrimogeni per disperdere la folla che sfidava il recente divieto di raduno di più di 5 persone e sparato colpi di avvertimento in aria.
Le proteste pacifiche hanno avuto inizio ad agosto, in risposta al brusco aumento del prezzo dei carburanti. I monaci buddisti, che hanno preso la guida delle proteste dopo che alcuni di loro erano stati feriti nella città di Pakokku, chiedono la riduzione del prezzo dei generi di prima necessità, il rilascio dei prigionieri politici e un processo di riconciliazione nazionale per risolvere le profonde divisioni politiche interne.
La mattina del 25 settembre, le autorità hanno iniziato il giro di vite sui manifestanti, introducendo un coprifuoco di 60 giorni dalle 21 della sera alle 5 del mattino e avvisando la popolazione che sarebbero stati adottati provvedimenti di legge contro i dimostranti.
Le violazioni dei diritti umani a Myanmar sono diffuse e sistematiche. Tra queste vi è l’utilizzo di bambini soldato e il ricorso ai lavori forzati. Inoltre, sono in vigore leggi che criminalizzano l’espressione pacifica del dissenso politico.
Alla fine del 2006, la maggior parte degli esponenti di primo piano dell’opposizione era agli arresti o sottoposta a forme di detenzione amministrativa e 1160 prigionieri politici erano detenuti in condizioni via via più dure. Gli arresti avvengono spesso senza mandato e i detenuti sono costretti a trascorrere lunghi periodi d’isolamento; la tortura è praticata regolarmente nel corso degli interrogatori; i processi nei confronti degli oppositori politici seguono procedure non in linea col diritto internazionale e agli imputati viene frequentemente negato il diritto a scegliere un avvocato, se non addirittura ad averne uno. La pubblica accusa fa ricorso a confessioni estorte con la tortura.
