Another year, another FCBD. Though this years costumes weren't as plentiful as prior years, which I assume is because everyone was out watching CA:CW, they were still awesome to see.

Since 2002, "Free Comic Book Day" is an annual event that takes place on the first Saturday of May in the United States. It is an annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers into independent comic book stores.
At Galaxy of Comics in Van Nuys, "Free Comic Book Day" was celebrated with food trucks, a "Kids Can Draw" art table, and a raffle. Representatives from the Agents of C.O.S.P.L.A.Y., a non-profit organization came to promote fun and entertainment for the art of cosplay and were dressed up like Spider Man, Black Widow, and the Winter Soldier.
While I was there, I ran into two friends: comic book artists and storytellers Vinton Heuck and Bryon Penaranda who were promoting their Kickstarter campaign for "Mabigon", an Arthurian inspired fantasy graphic novel which you can read for free at www.mabigon.com
It was a fun filled day for the entire family but for me, the best part was receiving "Hello Kitty and Friends" comic book for f-r-e-e!
