Macro-Mondays

This is a bit of the end of a piece of the plastic ribbon on my Christmas wreath that I put on the arbor outside. It's no wonder it has frayed a bit.

The torn edge of a piece of paper handdrawn with stripes of oil pastel colour. The edge of this piece of ordinary printer paper, has frayed in a way that suggests fabric instead of paper.

stamens of Protea aurea, Goodwood Red.

This brass button dates back to the early 1900s. Only small patches of blue, red and green enamel remain, but in its day it would have been very colourful. The book is a family photo album from the Victorian era, which has lost its spine.

For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Damage.

The button is 1" wide.

When it rains I make the flower photos in the house, rather than in the garden.
