Advertising happens anywhere and everywhere for Sororities and Fraternities, but its kinda good to see.
Vogue had rented two WorkCycles bakfietsen (classic cargo bikes) for a street photoshoot on Dam Square and I was invited to shoot my own pics. While that was going down, I deemed it noteworthy to record the rest of the street scenes as well. Keeping it real, so to speak, as it transpires. Top models, all dressed up in their fashionables, on bakfietsen. You don't see that often, but nothing extraordinary, really. The sorority girls and frat boys (pledges and seniors) were dressed up too, not for the journey, either. Many had their bikes color coordinated with their respective houses, also quite a tradition. Frat boys in suit and tie, casual, and the rest of the streetscape filled with other Amsterdammers going from A to B. The point of the story: models on bakfietsen are easy on the eyes, yet if you think about it, they really just blend in with the rest of us.

Inside Fraternity Hall. Many groups celebrated here, sometime even staging prizefights in the spacious interior. Once, during a dance, two men got into a fight over what kind of music the band should play. The squaredancer shot the waltzer dead - and was later hanged for it.

On December 17, 1903, man first took flight with the Wright Brothers' flyer in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Since then, aviation has been a staple of the STEM fields as engineers around the world continuously improved upon the idea of an airplane. An icon of the early era of flight, the biplane reminds us of the wonders of flight and how far we have come.
The annual Reck Parade features three classifications of vehicles: Classic Cars, Fixed Bodies, and the crowd favorite, (human-powered) Contraptions.
Loyola's Greek community provides opportunities for growth and excellence in academics, service, social interaction, intramural athletics, and values-based leadership. It's also a great way to make lifelong friendships. There are sixteen fraternities and sororities at Loyola, representing a fifth of all undergraduates.
