My view is framed by these mature fir trees and the horizon line. The wind has changed direction and lifed much smoke and haze. #cy365 #capture your 365 day 227 #window view day 193
The A-Frame mid-mountain warming shack. Montana Snowbowl, during a 2' powder dump in February 2013. Wood burning stove, outhouse, bbq grills, and not much else. A great meeting place for locals and visitors alike, it is halfway up the mountain and has no amenities or attendants. A couple electrical outlets. Very steep run off the backside (going down and to the right). Sometimes we jump off the railing of the back deck and ski down the steep tree-filled run known as Outhouse.
The sunset starts to break through and lights the downtown buildings, as seen through one of the openings at Fenway Park.
The eagle and American flag fly above the Boston Arts Academy in the foreground while the evening colors are reflecting on 111 Huntington Avenue, also known as the "R2D2 Building".

In contrast to yesterday, I have cracked open Acorn to merge two photos together to show my Mac Mini server framed in my MacBook Pro! It's not quite perfect, but better than expected given that I hand-held the iPhone to take the two pictures.

A Solent Camera Club evening shoot at the Hot Walls in Old Portmouth. Three plucky young models risked their brand new prom outfits and braved yet more windy weather to give us some portrait practice.
She was posing for someone else, this was a quick grab shot, 150 mm handheld 1/40 f2.8 ISO 200 no flash. The focus is too soft, but she had a lovely expression.
It deserves a better frame and mat job than I can afford right now but this will have to do. Hopefully the next image will be of it hanging on display at Union Station.

I enjoy walking around my town, especially at this time of year. It’s beautiful to see the gardens coming to life and the leaves still a brilliant green. During my walk, I passed by a yard and noticed the sunlight accentuating the red leaves of a Japanese Maple tree. The yard had a lattice fence with 2” x 2” spaces between the slats, which created a perfect frame for the photo I took today.
