It has amused me for a while that this is the only pair of glasses in the window display of an Opticians in Bromley High Street, South London.....
Surely they must do more frames than this????

Another from my bouquet - I seemed to get just one of several different flowers - which suited me fine from a photographer's point of view!! I tried to present them in different ways - don't want to get monotonous do I? Lol ....
A Common Yellowthroat pops out from his usual hiding place in the foliage and ends up framed nicely by flowers.

I enjoyed some creative framing here, highlighting the American Robin in an oval design.
I like challenging myself to try new techniques and styles in my photography. It's fulfilling and helps me think outside the box. Maybe it keeps my old brain from turning to mush!

A view of the Shard on my way home - the clocks changed this weekend for Daylight Saving and I'd spotted this weeks ago but the weather was poor and it was too dark - with an ND filter it has come out okay in early evening.
This afternoon we went to a place wich I had seen from the highway yesterday. Under the trees there was a carpet of snowdrops. I told my husband that I would love to take photo's there but the camera was at home (stupid). So we had to go back today and turned out there was an old shed without the window,just the frame. Thats what I used in this photo

Something a little summery here in the middle of winter...
There was a bed of blue Forget-Me-Nots in the background, giving me this nice backdrop.
I added a radiance filter, then a frame, ending up with the image above.
Generally mundane, but with inherent visual complexity - fill the frame with disconnected elements wherein there is some ingredient which barely holds them together.
The operative word being - frame.
Always be conscious of the frame and how the structure of the image relates to it.
I had just arrived at the car park at Ashness Bridge, Derwentwater, kitted up and got as far as the car park exit when the sun came out shining onto the shelter, so quickly got out my Pentax ME Super I had brought and snapped a photo as well as my digital Sony camera.
I think, after processing, that the digital had a slight edge but as I was out to finish off my film roll I decided on posting it.
