Male Eastern Bluebird chose a nice spot for his 2022 winter portrait. He checked an old nest site; I hope he will return. Morgan County, Alabama.

Another sunset over the North Sea. The beach is at De Panne (Belgium)

This is the neat view I had on my hike back out from the sunset spot I had while at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Here with some of the burnt trees in this section along the ridge, this evening blue hour view from the highlands overlooking the open area below with the lights of Montrose, Colorado there framed in this view next to the neat left over trees.

View below in the comments is the capture taken of the Canyon prior to this capture (during the hike back out through the woods from the overlook)

Enjoyed magical effect of levitation at the hotel bar which offers a sweeping view of Tokyo in the blue hour.

On both sides, glass art illuminated with green light symbolizes a water fall which echoes the sound of silence.

Late in the last month (July 2016), a new hotel opened in the 180-meter-tall Kioi tower on the site of the Akasaka Prince Hotel formerly known as "Akapri" among Japanese business person preferring contraction of words.

Tokyo is constantly replacing the old with the new and the result of renewal is always more than amazing.

Cabo Frio, RJ, Brazil, 2012. – I started shooting more regularly ten years ago, around the time I signed up for Flickr. I think it's time for a little retrospective...

A photo-idea that often works pretty well. Here, looking at San Pablo reservoir from the Nimitz Trail in Tilden Park.

Königskuchen-Figuren aus Frankreich, Porzellan.

A couple more shots of my mini series on framed sun taken at Briton Ferry. I have tried to photograph the contrasts between industrial dereliction and nature reclaiming the land!

Everyone loves Mardin, and it’s immediately apparent why: this ancient town crowned with a castle overlooks the vast, roasted Mesopotamian plains extending to Syria, and the honey-coloured stone houses that trip down the side of the hillside give it something of the feel of old city.
