FAQ

I have seen many flickrits taken similar photos. So I forced myself, only to see how it turned out, not special or my best pic. But I like it.

Didn't this seagull line himself up perfectly for a portrait? I had to comply. 😊

I looked in one of my contact's gallery and saw some cool textures up for grabs to use.

This is a corner of an art frame by Eddi 07.

The tear is a super easy photoshop technique using the "Polygonal Lasso tool" (or press "L"). Just click your entire area out and copy-paste to a new layer. Layer tab, Layer Style, Bevel & Emboss, then a drop shadow in the same layer section.

My first digital film experiment - 24 pictures shot with the camera in a mode that is most similar to what it was like shooting film. No editing has been done to these jpgs - just out of the camera using the Expressive creative filter.

I finally got around to purchasing a half frame camera, the Olympus Pen EF. It's the last film Pen made by Olympus in the early 1980s and takes half 35mm frame photographs. I bought it with the intention of shooting double images that work together. I didn't think I'd like the quality of the result but they are much better than I expected.

I wanted to share something a little different today. And for those in Melbourne, the reason will become clear very soon.

This is a Technic Racer frame. It's about as bare bones as it can be. It uses a servo motor for steering. But that's the only part I'd describe as uncommon.

Why am I sharing this? Because I want to demystify it for anyone who might be a LEGO fan, but has always felt a little intimidated by Technic building.

And truth is, there was a time when Technic intimidated me too. I put this together in under 20 minutes today so I could race it around the house with my son. It was so much fun I'll make a racing partner for it tomorrow. and I'll pretty it up along the way.

My point is really that you could do this too. In fact, I believe you could improve on it. So I wanted to offer this as a basic guide on how to make your own. A leaping off point if you will; and a way to start the conversation about Technic Racers.

There's more to come. This is only a start. So stay tuned, and let's see where this can take us.

The minaret, framed by a majestic ornamental arch, rises elegantly in the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, located in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Its slender design, with arches and geometric openings, allows light and air to flow, giving it a sense of lightness.

The stone, intricately carved with calligraphic details and Islamic motifs, enhances the architectural richness of the mosque, highlighting the harmony between the minaret and its surroundings.

Another almost "Impressionist" style painting, but this is just the way the image came out of Adobe Camera RAW and into PhotoShop, where I quickly added the frame and credit.
