Early Autumn snow.
This is a tree I keep getting drawn back to. It’s not an easy one to photograph due to it’s complexity but I feel it symbolises the importance of protecting our native Caledonian woodland. Many of the trees around here are elderly and slowly dying out, with new scots pine being suppressed by deer numbers. There has been great work here in recent years to try and maintain a balance with new trees being planted throughout the glen.
