that is how we are...
If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the color of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
When the wind blows,
can you feel it caress all your little pores
as it moves through you?
Be still,
fragile one,
while I hold you betwixt my gentle grasp
and freeze an image of you forever.

I took this photo this morning. I was surprised to find this flower(murasakitsuyukusa, 紫露草, lit. "purple-dew-grass", spiderwort) for it is to bloom in summer. I did not know that it is a "one-day-flower". See in large if you please.
taken today, waiting for the subway. just love the subway in new york city for photo-ops.
happy valentine's day, y'all. we are having a blast. off to nap, then dinner, then the play "billy elliot." hope you are well, and spending time with your loves in life, whoever and whatever who or they may be.
today's random fact: my husband and i do not really celebrate valentine's day. valentine's day is every day for us. that may sound cheesy, but we love and appreciate each other daily
this is day 45 of a year in pictures, 2009
I wanted to design a cake that was very delicate and had beautiful flavors.
I named it Fragile because this song by STING Is possibly the most beautiful song ever written.

Two cool things arrived on my doorstep today: My first "real" turntable, an Audio-Technica AT-PL120, and The Polyphonic Spree's The Fragile Army on vinyl. Sweet!
Right now I've got the included cartridge installed, which sounds fine on it's own, but I ordered a Shure M97xE, primarily because it requires much less tracking force. I'm really happy with it, it's a huge jump from my Numark PT-01 portable turntable. Of course, I would have loved a Technics SL-1200, but that's way out of my budget, and not really necessary. The AT sounds great and I love the look of it. Tomorrow I'm going record shopping!
So now my modest (yet expensive to me) audio gear includes:
13" MacBook Laptop
Ipod Classic 80GB
Audio-Technica AT-PL120 Turntable
Numark PT-01 Turntable
Alesis M1Active 320USB powered studio monitors
Grado SR-80 headphones
As a side note, this is the first photo I've processed completely from scratch in awhile. No real reason, guess I was feeling less lazy than normal today.
Fragile UK Flag
Sarah Boris, UK
2015/16
Anglo-French graphic designer and former Phaidon Art Director Sarah Boris made this simple UK flag out of packaging tape in 2015. It was created in response to a crisis in the National Health Service, but took on a new life following the UK's referendum decision to leave the EU.
As well as being widely like and shared online, a group of designers marching in solidarity with the EU recreated the artwork in blue felt.

Part of Hope to Nope: Graphics and Politics 2008-18
US presidents bookend Hope to Nope: Graphics and Politics 2008-18, which highlights through displays of banners, badges, quilts, placards, animations, filmed footage, T-shirts and hats, among other items, how graphic design has been used to engage with social, political and environmental upheavals worldwide during the past decade...
...The thread running through it all, however, is the rapid development during the past 10 years of information sharing and social-media platforms. They may employ highly simplified graphic icons as their brand identities but there’s nothing unsophisticated about the extraordinary international reach and potential influence

…so I look around and she keep silence ...
nothing else to say between us:
we are looking simply
the fragile little trumpets,
they stay in silence too
but they are listening
with their great gorgeous ears
…così mi guardo intorno e lei resta in silenzio …
null'altro da dire fra di noi:
noi stiamo semplicemente guardando
le piccole trombe delicate,
anche loro stanno in silenzio
ma ascoltano con le loro grandi
e splendide orecchie

F is for Fragile: don't worry, I didn't raid a real nest, this is an Easter decoration with lifelike but very plastic eggs. However the nest is made from the tiniest twigs and it does have these very fluffy fragile cute little spotted feathers.
Film is fragile, according to the BFI’s new supercut of some iconic British films.
Highlighting the importance of the BFI’s restoration efforts, ‘Film is Fragile’ is a montage of some of the best-known scenes in cinema, depicting characters escaping from something just off the edge of the screen…
28 Days Later, A Clockwork Orange, and the Worlds End are just three of the films included in the short, which takes in all eras and genres, in black and white and in glorious colour.
As AdWeek says, ‘for movies that have been damaged or have begun to disintegrate, it's critical to act before the action they contain fades to black forever’.
Watch ‘Film is Fragile’ below and let us know what you think of it.

Ti mostri a me
Occhi che sanno di diamante,
per durezza e bellezza
Occhi che non perdonano.

Lo sai, e non devi fingere
Quello che ti circonda è
Servo della tua beltà.

Quando sei sola
Nessuno intorno, Solo i tuoi pensieri,
Penna e calamaio, Unica compagnia…

Dal cuore triste, l’ anima è fragile.
Fragile, nel profondo
Diamante che diventa tufo
e si scioglie tra le mani.
Ma, vederti cosi,
Nessuno avrà questo onore.

after I finished with the previous theme,I just let myself free. When the movement begins,I have the sense that all of my feelings are slipping through every part of me.That's the moment I begin to feel fragile and exposed.
I always had the feeling that those type of captures, are full of emotions, they always left me with bittersweet thoughts.
I hope this one will be a chance to have a kind of thought like mine.
Enjoy
Create a hyper-realistic, cinematic close-up of a polished robotic hand gently raised toward the light. On its metallic fingertip, a delicate monarch butterfly perches, wings glowing softly with warm, translucent hues. The robotic hand should feature intricate joints, cables, and reflective chrome surfaces illuminated by golden bokeh lights in the background. Capture the contrast between cold engineered precision and the fragile beauty of nature. Use shallow depth of field, warm ambient light, and a serene, contemplative atmosphere to emphasize harmony between technology and life.

Went for my first walk of spring in our woods today.
One of my main reasons for my first walk of spring is to see how the Fragile Ferns are doing. They're a little slower coming up this year, probably because late winter got pretty chilly.
Photographed in a studio. This photo was taken using natural light from outside. The fragility of the model was expressed by the light shining through the gaps in the curtains.
I know you won't come back.... We just were not meant to be. But my heart will take life long time to accept this unbearable truth.
Nice "BOY'S RADIO" with grid metal speaker, transparent dial knob, beautiful "Powell" escutcheon, no CD marks on scale and red knob ON-OFF/VOL located at the bottom of the cabinet, I do not think it's the most appropriate and accessible. The circuit is REFLEX type with NEC semiconductors (two transistors + two diodes) and "pink resistors". It uses 9V square battery. The cabinet is made of very fragile plastic so it has some cracks but has survived well.
