I know what it feels like ... this beautiful Monarch butterfly beat up by life ... enjoying the Florida native Firebush ... they don't live very long ... such beauty, so fleeting.
'Fragile' is another of my pictures exposed at the Artsville Gallery this winter, under the exhibit 'Light enough to land'.
A series of photographs where the little black and white butterfly, becomes both a mirror and a symbol — a fragile creature suspended between strength and dissolution.
Each image wishes to capture a fleeting moment, where light and shadow, movement and stillness, existence and disappearance coexist.
Through titles the collection also speaks to the paradox of being so delicate and yet enduring — of how beauty often lives on the edge of loss and danger.
The butterfly, monochrome but yet alive, reflects the very essence of human experience: our resilience within fragility, our grace within impermanence.
This little yet humble collection, invites the viewer to linger in the in-between — where the ephemeral becomes eternal, and where vulnerability reveals its quiet yet beautiful strength.
I am not an artist, but i love to express through pictures and this time, along side my little companion through the last 10 years my strong, yet brittel litte butterfly.

Beach side in Gulfport, Mississippi. There's quite a few of these protective fences down here for the vegetation trying to make a comeback after hurricane Katrina. Happy Fence Friday!
This beautiful Giant Swallowtail butterfly was missing half of one wing. How they survive at all is amazing ... God's beautiful creation out front in God's garden.

Well, thought I'd put something up, running behind as always. But I took five minutes to find -something- fitting to take a picture of, as I haven't been able to go out taking photos for so long. Amazingly I remembered how to push the button ;)
Of course had to crop square, and run it through the Lightroom Cuisinart...
Oh, eventually I will get some more music up, too. Haven't stopped that either :)
