Protestors opposing fracking gathered outside Parliament, on the day the Infrastructure Bill is voted upon. If passed unamended the bill will allow the widespread use of this controversial method of extracting shale gas, over-riding existing environmental protections.
The protest was joined by Green MP Caroline Lucas, activist Bianca Jagger, and designer Vivienne Westwood, and was organised by Friends of the Earth and other environmental groups.
A petition signed by over 360,000 people opposing the legislation was presented at the House of Commons.
