Fountains Abbey reflected in the River Skell at one of the Fountains by Floodlight events
This was right at sunrise just as the sun hit low on the water of a fountain in front of the St. George, Utah Temple. I love the look of foreground bokeh. Captured with the Voigtlander Super Nokton 29mm f0.8.
I've moved this shot of a Paris fountain up from 2007 in my stream to express my horror at what has happened there. Killing people is wrong!
July 24 2007 comment: Couldn't resist this shot taken last September. The boy ran along the wall beside the fountain well ahead of his family. Nice to be young and carefree.

It thrives in warmer, drier areas and threatens many native species, with which it competes very effectively. It also tends to increase the risk of intense wildfires, thus posing a further threat to certain native species.

A popular area in the Millennium Park in Chicago houses two 50 foot towers designed by Jaume Plensa, a Catalan conceptual artist. Light emitting diodes show the faces of 1,000 Chicagoans on the inward-facing surfaces of the towers. Every five minutes the lips pucker and a fountain of water shoots from subjects' mouth

The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water up to 500 ft (152.4 m) into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD $218 million).
The name of the fountain was chosen after a contest organized by the developer Emaar Properties, the result of which was announced on 26 October 2008. Testing of the fountain began in February 2009, and the fountain was officially inaugurated on 8 May 2009 along with the official opening ceremony of The Dubai Mall. On 2 January 2010 the length of Dubai fountains was increased to 275 m (902.2 ft).

The Gefion Fountain (Danish: Gefionspringvandet) is a large fountain on the harbour front in Copenhagen, Denmark. It features a large-scale group of animal figures being driven by the Norse goddess Gefjon. It is located in Nordre Toldbod area next to Kastellet and immediately south of Langelinie. The fountain was donated to the city of Copenhagen by the Carlsberg Foundation on the occasion of the brewery’s 50-year anniversary. It was originally supposed to be located in the main town square outside city hall, but it was decided instead to build it near the Øresund in its current location near Kastellet ("The Citadel").
It was designed by Danish artist Anders Bundgaard, who sculpted the naturalistic figures 1897-99. The basins and decorations were completed in 1908. The fountain was first activated on July 14, 1908.
The fountain underwent extensive renovations starting in 1999. The fountain was out of commission for many years, and was re-inaugurated in September 2004.
