The Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN), the world's largest and best known logistics network exclusively for independent project forwarding and project chartering companies, recently held their 7th global meeting at the JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro on Copacobana Beach in Brazil.
Some highlights of the meeing:
1) This was the first meeting that GPLN has hosted in the Americas
(past meetings having been in Dublin, Bangkok, Dubai, Prague, Kuala Lumpur
and Tunis);
2) Ninety-two participants attended from every continent of the world;
3) Sponsorship participants included Rickmers-Linie, Beluga Chartering
and Walenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Brasil; and
4) This meeting was also a celebration of GPLN's fifth anniversary of existence.
There were lots of new faces on hand and many older ones as well, said Gary Dale Cearley, Executive Director of GPLN, This made the meeting interesting all around the attending delegates. New contacts were made and older ones solidified which will greatly improve the projects pipelines of all members who took part.

Now four years later Vietnam’s logistics infrastructure is set to surpass that of Thailand as Vietnam becomes even more accommodating to foreign companies and investment than its ASEAN neighbours. The country’s geographical location makes it particularly advantageous to CEA as Vietnam’s coastline stretches for 3,200 km allowing access to the world’s major seaborne trade routes. In 2015 planning and preparation began, with CEA Vietnam officially opening in June 2016.
Brett Malcolm the Director of CEA Vietnam has over 25 years’ experience in the logistics sectors including 16 years in Vietnam. His diverse experience ranges from simple freight forwarding activity to large-scale heavy duty projects through Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Procedures and Processing of the Customs Documents
Pre- arrival Declaration help too to avoid storage please use it and be a family of the process. ’’Pre-arrival Declaration” was introduced in Tanzania to allow importers submit import declarations before the arrival of cargoes so that customs can conduct documentary examination in advance.
The importer present the proforma invoice to the Clearing Agent, the same being lodged to TISCAN/COTECNA very early while the goods were not exported. Once you receive bill of lading, make sure you scan it while is still at the country of export, let say at Shanghai China. Scan your Bill of Lading, Invoices, and other documents related to your importation send them through email to your agent to lodge them to TISCAN/COTECNA for an approval of your proforma invoice, and IO shall be issued by TISCAN/COTECNA Tanzania; by doing that, you will come to realize that, while containers are still on the way. You will pay duties or other charges at Customs and paying NIL STORAGE at port
