We should regret our mistakes and learn from them, but never carry them forward into the future with us.

A very warm, but fun day at the Prince George's County Equestrian Center.

The PVDA's "Dressage for Life"

Forward swept wings are an obvious feature of both the S-37 (left) from Russian and the X-29 (right) from the US. The latter was purely intended as a research aircraft and to save costs and because it didn't have to carry weapons or combat systems, the aircraft could be made quite small. The Sukhoi design was intended to eventually replace the Su-27 Flanker as Russia's air superiority fighter, and consequently was supposed to have a long range and advanced sensor systems and it had an internal weapons bay. As a result it's a big beast. Both of these models were built at the same scale of roughly 1/40, so the size comparison is realistic.

Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

Personal Notes, April, 1940

"During dusk, we pushed forward, towards Daugavpils in our Type 36. The artillery holes were large, but I am glad we're the secondary line. While the 3rd and 4th armies were containing the Russian forces in Rezekne, we were directed towards Daugavpils to take out their supply chains and to make a returning offensive, where the Captain says we'll either be going down into Belorussia or up to Ostrov.

Belorussia has been lost, at least in the south. We may have to turn south, but I have a hope that we may also head towards Vitebsk, and fight our way to Pskov, and maybe even Leningrad.

I am just worried that we may be unleashing the beast."

Forwards Fokker 50

Swedish regional airline Amapola Flyg, which started out carrying mail & then passenger operations, internally in Sweden & to Finland using a fleet of Dutch built turboprop Fokker 50's are now in Ireland in 2021.

On the 26th July 2021, Amapola relaunched the Dublin to Donegal ( Carrickfinn ) route which had ceased on the 12th June with the collapse of Stobart Air.

Operating twice daily flights between Donegal @ 0820 & 1640 returning from Dublin @ 1510 & 1820 hrs on weekdays with a reduced weekend service. Carrickfinn Airport has been voted the nicest airport approach for the last 4 years, right on the edge of the north west Ireland.

Fokker 50 SE-MFY has been operating the route from the beginning. It was delivered to DLT in March 1990 & has been with carriers such as Lufthansa, VLM, Cityjet & lastly Air Antwerp until their demise earlier in 2021.

Single fares on the Dublin-Donegal route, which is operated on a PSO ( public service obligation ) by the Irish Government currently start at 55 euros each way.

My thanks to the amazing cockpit crew that day, Captain David, FO Thomas & cabin crew Isak for their warmth & kindness, along with the co-operation of ground staff at Carrickfinn Airport for these photos.

Well worth a spin.

First day of British Summer Time, what a way to enter, have not been in this spot since the clocks were similar last year, just one perfect eve to watch and soak it all in.

I went to see Styling forward for the first time and the theme was Christmas. I was soooo amazed by the beautiful and elegant style of Leandra Breen.

I know she always looks great, anywhere and all the time. But she was truly a queen that day so i couldn't resist to take a snapshot of her.

Here she is the one and only: Leandra Breen!

Summer now feels like it's on "fast forward" - days noticeably shorter, hints of Fall color in the trees and cool Fall fragrances come through, in between the waves of heat, in the air. This is a single, huge Common Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) with flowers showing all the bloom/life cycles.

there is only one way

to go

one way from here

from this point

where we stand

to the left and right

are only

boundaries

and

behind is no more

it has crumbled like broken dreams

into the black

this road only leads

forward

onward

upward

into the blue

Day 72/366 - "Spring Forward" Father Time reminds you he is stealing another hour from you tonight.

Watching rugby is one of my bigger interests. There's always plenty of character to be captured.

Sometimes the path forward is not as clear as we wish it to be, but forward we must go.

Walking in the woods helps me clear my mind and focus it on what must be done.

Enjoy your week and take time to clear your thoughts a focus on what’s important.

Cheers,

Wade

This is my last upload of 2020. Let's hope we can all look forward to a better year in 2021.
