LE CULTE DE LA ROSE**
Célébrant une fleur,c'est un hymne à la femme
Que Bécaud a chanté avec toute son âme.
Suscitant le désir, elle engendre la vie,
Quand, semblable à la rose, elle s'épanouit.
Déesse de l'amour, fascinante et féconde,
Elle est indispensable à la survie du monde.
Èros, dieu puissant qui incarnait l'amour
Agit, différemment, sans doute, de nos jours.
Cette splendide fleur que l'on appelle rose,
Doit être protégée, en bouton ou éclose.
Des hommes la célèbrent et vantent ses attraits,
Pour vénérer la femme en des rites secrets.
La rose est l'important,nous affirma Bécaud.
Il loua cette fleur symbolique, tout haut.
Elle nous apparaît,reine par sa beauté

when i downloaded this image from my camera i knew instantly that i needed to convert it to black & white with just a bit of tint. to me i can better appreciate this flower's beautiful form, its graceful lines and subtle textures, without the distraction of colors.

Highly social all year long, Snowy Egrets forage with gulls, terns, ibises, and other herons, and they nest in colonies alongside many other species, including Great Egrets, night-herons, Glossy Ibises, Little Blue Herons, Tricolored Herons, Cattle Egrets, and Roseate Spoonbills.
Formado por 2.711 bloques de hormigón de diferentes alturas, el Monumento al Holocausto de Berlín es una joya arquitectónica construida en memoria de los judíos asesinados en Europa que recuerda uno de los episodios más oscuros de la humanidad.
Edificado en las cercanías de la Puerta de Brandenburgo entre los años 2003 y 2005, el monumento en memoria de los judíos asesinados en Europa pretende enfrentarse a la noción de monumento en sí misma. La traducción literal del nombre alemán es "Monumento memorial a los judíos asesinados en Europa".
Se trata de una cuadrícula formada por 2.711 bloques de hormigón de diferentes alturas, que permite que los visitantes elijan su camino de entrada y salida como si se tratara de un laberinto.

Forme bleue ( sombre ) Blue morph ( dark morph ).
Cette oie sombre appartient à la même famille que l'Oie des neiges.
Cependant, on la distingue à son plumage foncé et sa tête blanche. Elle est aussi plus petite que l'Oie des neiges.
On compte environ un individu de forme bleue pour 1000 individus de forme blanche ( Oie des neiges ).

In direction to Praia do Castelejo you come to these rocks, they remind me of ancient reptiles crawling on the beach.
Wenn man Richtung Praia do Castelejo läuft kommt man an diesen Felsformationen vorbei, sie erinnern mich an uralte Reptilien, die am Strand entlangkriechen.

Hi everyone... I want to give your wonderful guys and gals an update... although I still struggle with chronic pain on a daily basis, some days are better than others. I still cannot shoot like I was used to... stooping, bending over, sitting on the ground, etc as is necessary to shoot macro, still isn't possible for me. For now, I must be content to (re)edit and (re)publish shots in my archives.

The redesigned Jungfernstieg underground station in Hamburg: The new black and white contrast makes the station space appear larger and wider. The matt black surfaces in the track area deprive the eye of possible reference points, so that the spatial edges that would otherwise delimit the space are no longer immediately visible. Tulips (Tulipa) form a genus of spring-blooming perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes (having bulbs as storage organs). The flowers are usually large, showy and brightly colored, generally red, pink, yellow, or white (usually in warm colors). They often have a different colored blotch at the base of the tepals (petals and sepals, collectively), internally. Tulips originally were found in a band stretching from Southern Europe to Central Asia, but since the seventeenth century have become widely naturalised and cultivated. Flowering in the spring, they become dormant in the summer once the flowers and leaves die back, emerging above ground as a shoot from the underground bulb in early spring. The tulip's flowers are usually large and are actinomorphic (radially symmetric) and hermaphrodite (contain both male (androecium) and female (gynoecium) characteristics), generally erect, or more rarely pendulous, and are arranged more usually as a single terminal flower, or when pluriflor as two to three (e.g. Tulipa turkestanica), but up to four, flowers on the end of a floriferous stem (scape), which is single arising from amongst the basal leaf rosette. 11717
After a "tip off" from a fellow enthusiast, a long walk, a 3 hour wait, an several insect bites/stings later!!! I finally connected with this Helice form beauty. 2 other Clouded Yellows seen on the day(way down in numbers from last year)...but certainly worth the effort.....................what a beauty she is too.
