Holding onto the time we have left.

Is there a way to stop time, hold it still just for another hour, day, week, month?

🎼: I Can Only Imagine~ MercyMe~

✈️ : Cammino & Vivo Capovolto

I can only imagine

What it will be like

When I walk by Your side

I can only imagine

What my eyes would see

When Your face is before me

I can only imagine

Yeah

Surrounded by Your glory

What will my heart feel?

Will I dance for You Jesus

Or in awe of You be still?

Will I stand in Your presence

Or to my knees, will I fall?

Will I sing hallelujah?

Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine

I can only imagine

A precious love is one that has grown through the years...tender and sweet, gentle and kind, patient and forgiving. It is one you can count on, to be faithful, to be constant through thick and thin. This is a love that stands the test of time...and endures all things. It gives hope and joy and peace!

While searching for wildlife at a local park, I looked up upon hearing an airplane… and decided I couldn’t resist shooting this “Bird of another Color”

From Google:

Travel Air 89K was manufactured by the Travel Air Manufacturing Co. in Wichita, Kansas in September, 1929. The factory produced 17 model 4-D’s before stopping production a few months later as the depression deepened. This is the only original Model 4-D still flying in the world today and won Grand Champion in Pasa Robles just this year.

The Model 4-D is similar to the earlier Model B-4000, but the 4-D has a very reliable seven-cylinder J6 235 hp Wright engine as well as “outrigger” gear with pneumatic struts, providing gentle and forgiving landings for the pilot.

Bruce McElhoe the owner/pilot says, “For five years my world comprised wrenches, saws, screwdrivers, skinned knuckles, paint, and all the things one does to bring an old airplane back to life.” The airplane is a joy to fly, and is truly the most wondrous of all man’s wondrous creations.

Christmas is the time of giving and sharing, it is the time of loving and forgiving.

May the miracle of Christmas fill your heart with warmth and love.

All 3 juvenile Accipiter's have a yellow eye. As they age, the eye becomes red. Juvenile Sharp-shinned Hawks have courser brown streaking on the chest as opposed to finer streaking on the Cooper's Hawk. And yes, the sky was really this blue on a cold, sunny winter morning.

In a more optimistic version, after the Flood, the sun shines again and gives warm, golden hues to the water reflections and the background. But the clock is ticking, the wait has been long and nature has been far too forgiving. Remember, there is NO planet B.

"Regrets equal life and learning, all wisdom earned.

Bridges built with people and opportunity don’t need to remain forever burned.

You can not turn back the clock on yesterday.

But now and tomorrow are forever yours, to live your way.

There is little that can’t be undone or forgiven.

When one remains compassionate, forgiving and driven.

Find what matters, own your choices, allow those unheard to have their voices.

It is true that what one treasures, another may throw away,

but perhaps the most valuable thing of all,

for which we can agree,

is that we are given today."

A simple band of gold

Wrapped around my soul

Hard forgiving, hard forget

Faith is in our hands

Castles made of sand

No more guessing, no regrets

Then you came my way on a winter's day

Shouted loudly come out and play

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

And we're gonna be alright

Dry your tears and hold tight

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

And we're gonna be alright

Dry your tears and hold tight

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

And we're gonna be alright

Dry your tears and hold tight

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

Diamonds to behold, waiting to unfold

Bite the bullet, bite your tongue

Love beyond belief

Raid the seven seas

Come uneven, come undone

Then you came my way on a winter's day

Shouted loudly come out and play

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

And we're gonna be alright

Dry your tears and hold tight

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

Sun is shining and so are you...

Can't you tell I got news for you

Sun is shining and so are you

And we're gonna be alright

Dry your tears and hold tight

Can't you tell I got news for you

I smelt sweet night in your black hair

I saw heaven in your eyes

A beauty that no one compares to

A chance you're never given twice

You won my trust

You made me fall for you

Fall into a deep trance

All I knew your voice was a song

Your walk was a dance

So I never had a chance

It felt like it would last forever

That word seemed to fit just right

I don't know if I still hate or love you

But you ruin my mind

At the speed of light

Let me tell you all before I go

Please don't interrupt me

Even if I'm wrong

You live in a labyrinth turning in my head

Baby with no end, with no end

Maybe it's the way you spellbound me

So sexy I could not get enough

Oh maybe it's the way you betrayed me

So cruel I can not forget it if I try

Now forgiving you Oh forgiving you

I wonder if I do if I can

Let you out

Of my life

Not blaming you hope I can forgive

I wonder how I live

If I let you out

Of my life

Maybe it's the way you spellbound me

So sexy I could not get enough

Oh maybe it's the way you betrayed me

So cruel I can not forget it if I try

Now forgiving you Oh forgiving you

I wonder if I do if I can

Let you out

Of my life

Not blaming you hope I can forgive

I wonder how I live

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.

When we take time to share our interest in life, we receive 100 foldback. It has been said before, “In giving we receive, and in forgiving we are forgiven.”

I have come to believe that a successful life should be measured in how we have given to others, not in how many toys we have amassed. True treasures are the lives we have touched and changed for the better.

Somewhere

Someday, somewhere

We'll find a new way of living

Will find a way of forgiving

Somewhere

There's a place for us

Somewhere a place for us

Peace and quiet and open air wait for us

Somewhere

There's a time for us

Someday there'll be a time for us

Time together with time to spare

Time to learn, time to care

Someday, somewhere

We'll find a new way of living

Will find there's a way of forgiving

Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere

There's a place for us

A time and a place for us

Hold my hand and we're halfway there

Hold my hand and I'll take you there

Somehow, someday, somewhere

In this farewell

There's no blood, there's no alibi

'Cause I've drawn regret

From the truth of a thousand lies

So let mercy come and wash away

What I've done

I'll face myself to cross out what I've become

Erase myself

And let go of what I've done

Put to rest what you thought of me

While I clean this slate

With the hands of uncertainty

So let mercy come and wash away

What I've done

I'll face myself to cross out what I've become

Erase myself

And let go of what I've done

For what I've done

I start again

And whatever pain may come

Today this ends

I'm forgiving what…

So patient and forgiving, they've really proven to be the most wonderful companion dogs to me.

With love and total acceptance as how things are, Miss Woolly and her lil' sis just wait for me till I'm up and about.

We do get out somewhere most days in the late afternoons to early evenings.

Then back at home, they wait faithfully, trusting they will eventually get their gourmet dinner, as by then I'm so exhausted from so little activity it takes such a long time to organise it.

They are my blessings and I am grateful for the Woolly Love that pervades my home...

As this year closes, it's easy to see the negatives and relive them repeatedly as in every day that follows we are constantly reminded. As with previous year's this year as seen the loss of dearly loved ones; family, friends, relatives, lover's, co-workers. Entities that were a fundamental part of a familial ecosystem conducive to the functions of our daily life. Nothing fills the void to a uniquely irreplaceable personage.

Life will not always proceed the way we want, and though we may not have every minute answer to all the details of what to do, or where to go next, sometimes we all just need to stop, and reevaluate ourselves and take a moment to realize what is truly important.

So as 2021 closes, I hope that we can all take a moment to let some things come to a close along with it. A pandemic, or epidemic may not go away any time soon, but that does not mean we cannot resolve things that are within our control. Unless woefully bad and a risk to your health and well being, that disagreement with someone that keeps you from talking to them really is not all that important. if they, or you died today, what would that feud matter? The person you swore before God that you loved that is now neglected for someone else? Why did you love them in the first place? Maybe they changed, but they are still with you, and you have changed too. That best friend that "stole" someone from you? That person wasn't for you in the first place, doesn't mean you need to trust either of them, but for you own growth, talk, forgive, move on. Does not mean you have to hangout and catch up. But hanging on to that animosity only does more damage.

Forgiveness is not about forgetting, its about realizing everyone has flaws, some that one can live with, some that cannot be forgotten. When you love a person, and forgive them and stay, let the forgiveness be the end of that past fault. In truly forgiving and moving on, we ourselves become a better person for it, and forgiving that wrongdoer leaves them the burden of guilt for what they have done. Does not mean we return to bad situation, but realizing we forgive that person, for their flaws, and also forgive ourselves for not learning sooner that we are a higher value than what that person values us for and that though it may seem a long time, someone can, and will recognize our value.

Nothing stays the same, yesterday is gone, but our present is the first set of steps to what we can make to be a happy and safe future, if we so choose to do so.

Wishing everyone love, forgiveness, and to stay safe, stay healthy and a wonderful 2022.

I Dreamed a Dream

There was a time when men were kind

When their voices were soft

And their words inviting

There was a time when love was blind

And the world was a song

And the song was exciting

There was a time

Then it all went wrong

I dreamed a dream in time gone by

When hope was high and life worth living

I dreamed that love would never die

I dreamed that God would be forgiving

Then, I was young and unafraid

And dreams were made and used and wasted

There was no ransom to be paid

No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night

With their voices soft as thunder

As they tear your hope apart

As they turn your dream to shame

He slept a summer by my side

He filled my days with endless wonder

He took my childhood is his stride

But he was gone when autumn came

And still, I dream he'll come to me

That we will live the years together

But there are dreams that cannot be

And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be

So different from this hell I'm living

So different now from what it seemed

Now life has killed the dream I dreamed

Let us not forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas. Please listen to the music as you read the poem.

Once in a Manger

Once in a manger, a long time ago,

Before there was Santa and reindeer and snow,

A star shone down on humble beginnings below

Of a baby just born who the world would soon know.

Never before had there been such a sight.

Would the Son of a King have to suffer this plight?

Are there no armies to lead? Are there no battles to fight?

Shouldn't He conquer the world and demand His birthright?

No, this frail little infant asleep in the hay

Would change the whole world with the words He would say.

Not about power or demanding His way,

But mercy and loving and forgiving God's way.

For only through humbleness would the battle be won,

As shown by the actions of God's only true son.

Who gave up His life for the sins of everyone,

Who saved the whole world when His journey was done.

Many years have now passed since that night long ago

And now we have Santa and reindeer and snow

But down in our hearts the true meaning we know,

It is the birth of that child that makes Christmas so.

I'm out here on the street

There's no one left to meet

The things that were so sweet

No longer move my feet

But I keep trying...

I keep on trying...

All that I want is

Stillness of heart

So I can start...

To find my way

Out of the dark

And into your heart...

I got more than I can eat

A life that can't be beat

Yet still I feel this heat

I'm feeling incomplete...

What am I buying?

My soul is crying...

All that I want is

Stillness of heart

So I can start...

To find my way

Out of the dark

And into your heart...

Where's the love?

What is this world we live in?

Where's the love ?

We've got to keep on giving

Where's the love ?

What happened to forgiving ?

Anyone ?

All that I want is

Stillness of heart

So I can start...

To find my way

Out of the dark

And into your heart...

This is not a politics story, but a friendship story.

I think...

What is it that is keeping us apart?

Most countries have some kind of problem with their neighbors. But I don't think we can open up the future if we keep struggling to dig them up.

We must take the sins of the past seriously, atone for them, and find a way to move into the future with a forgiving heart.

At dusk the window panes grew grey;

The wet world vanished in the gloom;

The dim and silver end of day

Scarce glimmered through the little room.

And all my sins were told; I said

Such things to her who knew not sin—

The sharp ache throbbing in my head,

The fever running high within.

I touched with pain her purity;

Sin’s darker sense I could not bring:

My soul was black as night to me;

To her I was a wounded thing.

I needed love no words could say;

She drew me softly nigh her chair,

My head upon her knees to lay,

With cool hands that caressed my hair.

She sat with hands as if to bless,

And looked with grave, ethereal eyes;

Ensouled by ancient Quietness,

A gentle priestess of the Wise.

Will you make it sound so pretty even when it's not?

Didn't choose but it's the only one we've got

And sometimes I get so tired

Of getting tied up in my thoughts

You're the only one that often makes it stop

God, it hurts to be human

Without you I'd be losing

And someday we'll face the music

God, it hurts to be human

But I've got you, you, you, you, you, you, hey

And you've got me, me, me, me, too

Like we're buckled and preparing before the crash

Like we're walking down a road of broken glass

Now if we defeat all odds

And it was us against the world

You can count on me

You know I'd have your back

God, it hurts to be human

Without you I'd be losing

And someday we'll face the music

Procrastinating on this week's shot and rushed for time. I chose to simply dunk my trusty Timex in the kids' sand box as they played nearby, innocently unaware of this ultimate adversary called time.

Much more to me than an affordable time piece. I'd call it an old friend but it's more reliable and much less forgiving then one would ever expect of a friend.

First walk on my recent holiday at the old explosives nature reserve before you get onto the towans close to Hayle cornwall which revealed lots of Silver Studded Blue Butterflies just settling down for the evening. They were not as big as my thumbnail. They made no attempt to fly away and so I was able to take shots of this little quartet from a few angles at my leisure. They are mostly on Privet at this location but as you can see these little newbies are all on a blade of grass.

All hand held and manual settings on the Sony A7ii with an old Nikon Ais 55mm 2.8 micro lens...

I am forgiving myself for uploading more than one shot a day as I couldn't participate when on holiday due to no real WiFi and I have been trying hard to catch up with everyone...

The Burnt Hill stone circle

This is definitely one of the most fascinating places I’ve been to, and I’ve been to quite a few!

It is located WAY off the beaten track in the small town of Heath in Western Massachusetts, almost at the border with Vermont and at the highest point of a hill (“Burnt Hill”). I did find it both mysterious and intriguing. In fact, I went to Heath three times in search of the Burnt Hill Stone Circle. I got terribly lost in the forest all three times and vowed never to come back! Let’s just say that Google maps is of no help here. Typing Burnt Hill, Heath in Google maps will give you an incorrect location.

Then I got a final clue and had to return one more time to check it out. Unfortunately, the site is located on private property, and I have to say that made me hesitate about it. I certainly respect private property lines. Ultimately, I tried to sneak in and take a quick look at the location and was caught red handed by the owner as I approached! I apologized profusely for trespassing, and he was fortunately quite forgiving. Upon explaining my goal to simply see the structure briefly and photograph it, he was very kind and allowed me to do just that. I made him a promise not to reveal the exact location. He is understandably very tired of people coming on to his property to see it!

No one really know where these stones came from and when this was built. Many suggestions have been made that it was built in colonial times, by native Americans or that it is in fact a Celtic altar. I do believe evidence shows that these stones are very old and that the arrangement is not random. Some of the stones are very heavy, weighing more than 500 pounds.

This appears to be reminiscent of the stone circles that you see in the UK and Ireland. Reportedly the stones align with surrounding mountains and celestial events. Because the stones are located on private land, only very few studies have been done. Megalithic structure or not, it is a fascinating structure and incredible location.

There are a lot of memories I wish to forget but those bitter memories turned sweet when God gave me the courage to stand up and fight the battle with head up high. I prayed hard for those people who've hurt me to change but His ways aren't my ways so He changed my heart instead. He removed all the pains and gave me a forgiving heart. And that, my dear friends, is the best thing that happened to me this year. I'll face 2009 with God by my side. I'll never stop saying this line:

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Time to shift from Mother Nature’s grand ocean landscapes to one of her smaller overlooked worlds. This little beauty is a Clivia (also known as Bush Lily or Natal Lily, though it is no way related to Lily's, more closely related to onions), native to southern Africa but surprisingly happy in our garden. The photo is a stack of 10 focus-bracketed shots with my Oly 60mm macro lens.

Clivias are the perfect plant for us because, I can't describe it any other way, we are terrible gardeners ;) Anything that thrives here has to be tough and a little independent - survival of the fittest applies more in our backyard than it does in the wild! Luckily, Clivias don’t mind a bit of neglect; they put up with low light, forgetful watering, and still reward you with lush leaves and glorious blooms.

Although all you can see here is the macro detail of the stamen, the plants have rich green strap-like leaves, the flowers bell-shaped, ranging from yellow through orange to deep red. And they have red berries, the seed pod. Quite an interesting plant.

I think they deserve a medal just for putting up with us.

Have a great weekend out there everyone. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to comment, it is greatly appreciated!

My gift to you all this year is love.

We seem to be less tolerant, less forgiving and too busy to stop and appreciate one another. Hopefully this attitude will change for the better soon.

May December be filled with love, friendship, good cheer and hope! Those of us lucky enough to have a country to call home and are surrounded by family and friends should be more than grateful. Let us come together and help those that are less fortunate than ourselves. There is enough room in this world for all of us, let us open our arms and hearts.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Preceding the Nikonos Water series on the same day, predawn on the 6x12. Illusion of long exposure calms the storm swell on the image. Had opened the shutter for this shot when a rogue wave broke over the rock shelf, camera and tripod lifted overhead out of the water, then replaced on the ground. Exposure time extended a bit to wash out the first few seconds, but the dark rocks still show some spectral sloshes of foam, a reminder that the morning was not so calm. And that film is pretty forgiving. But the ocean is not.

And you can't save time to spend it on another day. Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you've wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow :-)

Where's the love?

What is this world we live in?

Where's the love?

We've got to keep on giving

Where's the love?

What happened to forgiving?

Anyone?

All that I want is stillness of heart

So I can start, to find my way

Out of the dark and into your heart

Holly was a good girl and she always had insightful things to say

Remembered funny anecdotes and

Knew the name of each species of bird by heart.

She could reach for things so high others couldn’t even see them.

But when Holly grew to a certain age, she blossomed

And when she blossomed, she was treated differently

Admired for her beauty and not her personality.

Others stopped truly seeing her for who she was.

This did not feel comfortable to Holly.

She enjoyed making people laugh and wonder

About deep philosophical questions.

She liked witnessing their gestures

when they thought she wasn’t looking.

She did not relish in attention over temporary attributes

And did not wish to make herself stand out

As if she were a most important tree in a busy forest.

Or, the only one left standing after a fire.

And so Holly dug holes in herself

At first, the holes were just little scrapes but then

the holes grew deep enough for insects

and small animals to burrow

She liked the feeling of an opening, a window here and there

And Holly was very happy

Because she now found a use for herself

in the art of both living, giving,

and forgiving.

I've been pondering. If apologizing is human and forgiving is divine, why should I remain silent? I have always defended that women should not silence physical and/or psychological abuse. Emotional abuse turns out to be blackmail and leaves wounds much deeper than a slap in the face. Nobody is safe because I am not divine! I'm sick of shutting up and continuing to see human errors.

... is where my heart is, they say

Geez, I have many homes, lol

Exploring the universe with open, but not naive eyes

Certainly give me many places to leave my hearts

Yes, in plural

Giving everyone a chance to prove themselves

You may even get a second chance

I'm a forgiving kind of person

You may even get my heart

I need my dwelling tho, upon what you were doing or saying that hurt me.

I see you

I see who you really are

The wounded one

The scars you have that you don't want to deal with

It's the easiest way you know, to hurt someone else when you actually can't deal with yourself

Hurting others in words or in action is definitely an imbalance within you.

You can blame your parents, you can blame your boss, your friends.

Blame blame blame on the world.

Doesn't work that way you know

You have a choice to get out of the mud, only you can deal with it, and you definitely must be willing to use your time.

Questioning yourself and answering yourself.

How to find an imbalance can be difficult at first, when you are starting the job that needs to be done.

In my opinion it's often when you find excuses for your actions, your fear, your hurting words, your anger

It hurts like hell sometimes to do this kind of mental job

But then, alas - the glory that waits for you when you have figured it out, sigh

Pain from your body will disappear, your mind will be like newborn and you can see the world with new eyes.

You must choose how to live this life

Isn't that cool

You can actually choose

Life is too precious to walk in mud, we should walk in light, towards light

My belief again, nobody needs to agree

I agree

And that's the important thing for me
