Last night we hosted our Annual Summer Soirée BBQ. We want to thank those who attended and we hope you all had a great time. It was a success and our geo-filter on snapchat was a hit! Check out the video of all the agents and staff members that snapchatted at the BBQ. Don’t forget to add us on snapchat @FHREYorkville
With 12hr+ days, we may be officially in Spring, but that doesn't mean winter weather isn't over yet in the Pacific Northwest. It will be a long time before the gleaming white snow capping the Cascades slowly melt away. And in the meanwhile, you can still get beautiful winter landscapes like these.
Which one do you prefer? 1 or 2?

Saw these lovely flowers today. I didn't have my camera on me so I did them with my phone, they came out better than I expected.
Some of you may know that I'm from NY. I was born and raised in NY (queens) and didn't move to Colorado until the day after I graduated from college. I had just started my Junior year of college at SUNY Purchase on 9/11/01.
I remember everything about that day like it was yesterday. It was terrifying. I received a frantic phone call waking me up that morning, I really couldn't even comprehend what was being said as I jumped out of bed and turned the tv on. Both buildings had been hit but were still standing. One of my roommates and I watched in complete horror as the first building began to collapse. We both began screaming into the phone as we just couldn't make sense of what we had just seen.
With so much uncertainty surrounding the unfolding events my school shut down immediately. We were in very close proximity to an airport. All of us that lived in Queens and Long Island were trapped at school because the bridges shut down. We all packed and waited. As soon as I got word around 6am on 9/12/01 I jumped in my car and drove as fast as I could towards home. As I went over the Whitestone bridge I looked towards lower Manhattan to see it in a cloud of smoke and debris.
I have many stories of close calls of people we knew that day. Our neighbor across the street worked on the 90-something floor of one of the towers, he never called in sick to work and on that day just decided to call in and take the day. My roommates cousins were running late that day so they were still on the train when it happened. And so on....I was very lucky to not lose anyone that day.
My school shut down for a full week. I cannot even count the number of funerals and memorials we went to that week. A lot of police officers and firefighters live in my parents neighborhood. The neighborhood shut down many times that week and we all gathered in the streets outside the main church.
These photos are from the first anniversary of 9/11. My friend who went with me that day said we should walk down with all the families so I could get more shots but I refused. We didn't lose anyone that day, therefore I felt we did not belong down there.
I received an honorable mention for this photo in Photographer Forum's contest and it was published.
This is just some of my story from that day. Never forget those who lost their lives that day. Not just in NY but Washington and Flight 93.

“If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill. If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth – if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.”
Those words from Psalm 137:5-6 should stir the hearts of every Jew and Christian. They become even more precious as we remember that the words and the music were mingled with tears as the children of Israel sang them. It brings to mind Christ weeping over the city desiring to gather her children to Himself “as a hen would gather her brood.”
When the children of Israel sang this Psalm, it was with broken hearts in Babylonian captivity. It was sorrow for their idolatrous ways that led to their longing once again to honor and obey the Lord from the Holy City of Jerusalem. Their hearts ached to return to Jerusalem and to savor the presence of the Lord as He dwelt amongst them.
Regardless of the magnificence and the gardens of Babylon, there the children hung their harps on the trees and wept while their captors taunted them to “Sing us a song of Zion.” Eventually they were able to return and restore Jerusalem. Eventually the second Temple was built and worship was restored.
Since 1948 it has been possible for millions of Jews to return to Israel and to Jerusalem. But even now they must worship in synagogues only, because there is no temple in Jerusalem. And the Muslims have constantly fought to prevent them from possessing the Temple Mount. So, they are home and the aliyah continues, but Jerusalem is divided, and there is still no temple.
Can you even imagine the longing in their hearts for Jerusalem and the Temple to be restored? Can you imagine the LORD’s longing to gather the children of Jerusalem under His wings? We implore you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in 2013 as never before. Let the Lord burden your heart and cause you to feel the passion of the Jews to live and worship in peace in the nation of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. Make the commitment that the Psalmist did:
“If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.”
All quotes are from Psalm 137 and Luke 13.

Somehow I wound up missing two weeks in a row. One week, i actually had two shots to choose from and wound up stalling and by the time it was sunday we had a big dog show and I wound up forgetting. whoops! Then the following week, I had a long difficult week at work, did take a picture on sunday but was too exhausted to post, and it was really nothing special. So, my apologies. We're back this week with another action shot. Wasn't the picture I planned to submit, and it's cut off. But I like it. In fact I didn't even edit it :)
And in other news, Rudy completed his Junior Grand Champion of Ukraine title last week. I'm proud of this crazy dude!
Plaisirs d'hiver - Marche de noel 2019 - First Night
From 29 November to 5 January, this unmissable event is back in central Brussels, and with it the guarantee of spending magical moments in the city's streets and being lost in wonder on Grand-Place before the incredible sound and light show and stunning Christmas tree.
Also on the programme: the traditional big wheel, covered ice rink, chalets, merry-go-rounds and countless activities for young and old, not forgetting the art installations and illuminations that create a unique atmosphere in the capital. This year, we have a very big special guest, 55 cm to be precise: the Manneken-Pis, who will be celebrating his 400th birthday with a whole host of festive activities.
Every year, the City of Brussels works twice as hard to put on an even more enjoyable and seamless event for local people and our many international visitors. Last year, it attracted nearly three million! Its success also benefits hotels and businesses in the centre, which post impressive figures.
And to share the Christmas joy, the Winter Pop popup village will stop off in four areas of the city. Every weekend, free activities will be organized with community groups and local figures. Caravans, lights, firepits, all kinds of artists, music, games... For the third year, Winter Pop will spread the Winter Wonders' fairy dust across Brussels.
The City of Brussels and the organizers thank the Brussels's artists Guillaume Desmaret & Arnaud Debal of the Farm Prod collective for the realization of the visual of Winter Wonders 2019. www.farmprod-collective.be
Elliot:
"Oh my tears are falling down as I try to forget
Her love was a joke from the day that we met
All of the words all of the men
All of my pain when I think back to when
Remember her hair as it shone in the sun
The smell of the bed when I knew what she'd done
Tell yourself over and over you won't ever need her again"
Lyrics by Jeff Buckley
Still an ongoing edit, lights could still do with a bit of tweaking but here is the latest!
