In an instant soon, the light will fade,

bringing with it an end, to a wonderful day.

An everlasting reminder, I capture my shot

I'll leave you no excuse,

Forget me not!

Up on the ridge sits the majestic Hill Top House which is now closed. Such a beautiful view from her gardens overlooking the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, I thought a view from down below would be nice.

I spent a few warm summer evenings there listening to my old friend Brad playing the guitar in between serving the quests cool drinks. The Hill Top House is now closed. I haven't heard if it will reopen. Maybe someone can let us know.

Visible warnings of danger are not limited to posted signs. Remnants from the Six-Day War remain on the kibbutz, such as this bomb shelter, now overgrown with local flora.

The Forget Me Not's were trying to take over the path. It was a losing battle. I couldn't harm them as they were 'pritty flowrs'. They, in turn, knew their power and laughed at my weakness as they began their plan for world domination.

I'll admit, this wasn't a completely original idea. Kind of an altered version of someone else's idea.

I was inspired by something I came across using StumbleUpon.. And I didn't save the link, or I would include it here..

Anyway, this took probably about 3 1/2 hours.. Which is longer than it should have taken, but I was watching a movie at the same time, so I was a bit distracted.

And now I'm tired and off to bed.

As I was walking from my hotel through the streets of Paris to a conference at UNESCO headquarters, I passed this girls' elementary school.

I've got so behind uploading flower pictures from last year that I'm completely out of synch with everyone else. So I'm jumping forward to the new pictures that I took this week, so we can all be doing Spring flowers together.

me: Huh?

Jo: Forget about Frozen!!!!!

me: o.O whoops! ... umm ... no ... well ...

Jo: You did!

me: Sorry!

Jo: Well great! I will never know how it ends -.-

me: Ok ok - let's watch it tonight ... ok?

Jo: Really?

me: Yes! Really!

Jo: Ok - I get the popcorn ^^

sheesh - I really did! We saw the movie on the plane and it stopped when we were close to landing (IMO way too early ... that they stopped I mean!) and Jo protested ever since that she doesn't know how it ends ... meh ... will have to watch the rest tonight I guess -.-

I think this is a forget me not but I could be mistaken. If anyone can confirm I'd be much appreciative.

Seemed quite apt for such a short lived existence
