Hazzard Range county Sheriff's office Sergeant Parker Walles and Deputy Miles Gallegos were dispatched to an empty lot off of Ronchetti rd ( western Sparta the county seat ) to report an abandoned vehicle. Upon further investigation deputies found a deceased young adult female .

Once the "Tox '' comes back and the NM Office of the Medical Investigator ,rule his death heroin and others drug overdose . Residents of Hazzard Range county and across the country ( fiction and real life ) have seen a spike in drug overdose cases over the last few years . Hazzard Range county has seen 9 deaths this year alone . Most of these deaths don't make news or just make into " police reports' ' .

On this Hot ( 102 °F ) labor day 2020 ,We see a local farmer delivering some of the state's famous Chile to a High Noon Jewelry and clothing owners Grady and Sue Butter. We also see Hazzard Range County sheriff’s office Deputy Clint Dallas unit park in front of the store ,he is just up the street at Maxwell Pharmacy taken a report of fraud .
Back to Chile it is grown across the state ,but here locally in a place called the Rainbow Valley that is in the Central part of the county ,it is about a 25 mile long valley on the banks of the Rio Grande river. Sparta the county seat sits in the north part of the valley and it is called Rainbow valley because of all of the different colors of rocks . Irrigated mostly by the water of Eagle Lake, it is just north of Sparta and wells . The valley grows many things ,but mostly Chile, Onions, Corn ,Pumpkins ,Pinto Beans ,pecans and cotton. It is also home to three little census designated communities of Sun ,Mars and Rio Grande junction .

Not long after our son Kirk was born, I discovered that there was a site along the Sacramento River that carried his name. Kirkville, California is a quiet intersection of two rural roads north of Woodland and southwest of Yuba City. It is the home of the Sutter Mutual Water Company. On the return drive from San Bernardino, I made a side trip to look it over.
Someone at the Sutter County road department has decided that the name of Kirkville needs an "S" added. For you railfans, once upon a time the berm on the opposite side of the canal supported a Southern Pacific branchline.

On this chilly Wednesday Jan 25 ,2023 morning . We see Hazzard Range County sheriff’s office Court security and Civil Process Deputy Harry Martia headed for court from his newly assigned unit, a 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit that replaces 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor. With that change in the last week leaves only one Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor in the fleet .Its 2010 assigned at moment to Court security and Civil Process Deputy Allen Clark.
The Court is in the County Government Center located on the third flood and is the county seat of Sparta . We also Hazzard Range Inn owners Glen and Lisa Roger talking with Eagle Lake construction about some upgrades they plan to do to the 100 year old inn
It is late afternoon on this Monday ( Memorial day) 30 , 2022 . We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Lieutenant Bubba Sanchez and Court security and Civil Process Deputy Dave Otero talking outside of the county Government center that also houses the Sheriff's Admin offices . They are standing next to the county fallen soldiers memorial . .It lists all 15 members of US Arm Forces who were county residents ,who have died in wars since the county was founded in 1883.
Busy with errands today, I went over to Kenwood Park for a late afternoon ride. There was only one person on the track, so I did another one-hour ride. This time on the Trek 1000. I only broke my record by .20 of a mile.
