Joe just put on my disc front brakes and adjusted my trans shift points...makes a great difference in enjoying my toy. Next we'll do some under hood powder coating for some more bling when I open the hood...

Last year I entered a pic of the Stang into a photo contest for one of my Fav Car Mags (Popular Hot Rodding) and placed. rOckstarr ( www.flickr.com/photos/amdn/) came in second! Then was lucky enough to be invited to be a part of a cover shoot featuring real hot rods that are built and used by the owners. I met a great group of guys there and comparing builds was a lot of fun. I got teased some since my Stang is very quiet compared to the rest of the group, but I drive it too much too much to deal with that noise, unlike past rides I've owned. I shot this while we were lining up for the 1st of a series of set ups. (Note: I was the only Ford there, so it was a real honor to represent the brand with pride!) Needless to say it was a day me or my son will ever forget.

We got most of the major parts cleaned, dressed, painted and installed in the block. So we decided to do a mock up, left the oil pan off too much of a pain to put it on just for a photo!. The new headers arrived and had to see if the color choices we made looked good all put together. I like it! I think moving away from traditional Ford Blue for the block color will set it apart. Since the color scheme for Mr. Mean is silver , black, and red having the engine and engine bay in same colors will work out just great.
Next is to get rest of misc parts together , button it all up and take this new combo for a dyno test and tune session.

Had a great time last night at cruisenite. A bonus was that Mr. Mean made a new friend. Took a quick pic before joining the regulars at our meeting spot. Spent most of the time talking shop and showing off the mods we made on Mr. Mean.

it's about this time every year I get to really missing messing around with my car...I rarely use water to clean Mr. Mean..usually just to rinse any the dust off after he's been sitting all winter..then I clay bar and hand polish it...rest of the year I use ICE brand spray detailer ...I love the stuff... damn, 8 more weeks of winter........

I've really been trying to work on my "lead foot" syndrome, getting close to $100 bucks to fill up and @ 11mpg it really don't last too long. But as long as the kids smile when I lay rubber I'll keep paying OPEC for the privilege of burning fossil fuel...

In this shot you can really see the changes that the Mustang took from the 1st generation to the 2nd. Also illustrates why many call the 1971-1973 models the "big body" Stangs.
