A Ford Probe photographed in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China.
I was very surprised to see a 1st gen Ford Probe around in China.
Produced from 1989 to 1993, it was imported in China around late 90's, as indicating its old license plates : 豫B is for Kaifeng (2nd biggest city in Henan province) and only numbers => first licenses issued.
And the color is darker than current used.
I saw only 3 Ford Probes in China. This is my second 1st gen. I hope to see more next time !
My first day in Paris was much better than I expected it to be, I took more photos today than I did in my entire trip to Paris last October
1 owner from new. Seems it failed an mot in 2013 and was never put back on the road.
Amazingly, this one is located less than a mile away from another unused Probe lying on a driveway.
One of the last Ford Capri cars to run off the production line, a 1987 2.8 Injection Special edition, and a mid 1990s Ford Probe 24v. I know which one I'd prefer to own and it's not the Probe.
I had a nice chat with the wife of the owner of this. They've owned it since 1998, it's been off the road since 2007 but they can't part with it due to sentimental reasons (which I won't disclose). It's covered 76k and is in great condition for being off the road so long.

I once saw a Probe Mk1 in Taiwan, but haven't seen one since, so I was quite thrilled to stumble upon this Ford, with a pair of old German DIN plates too.
