After German Forces invaded the French Lunar Territories the Allied Armies declared war, with fighting soon spreading to the Red Planet, previously occupied by the Soviets.

I take it that the owner of this earthquake red zone property either did not want to sell to government (Gerry Brownlee was the Earthquake Recovery Minister) at the rateable value of the land and house or they were not insured and would only get half the value of the land only.

When I went past last week either the protest wall had been removed or the whole property had been demolished.

There are flowery pathways

And shady lanes,

There are sparkly sunbeams

And showery rains,

There are lovely valleys

And bubbly brooks,

There are lofty mountains

And sheltered nooks,

There are grassy meadows

And starry skies,

There are happy bluebirds

And butterflies,

There are cheery rainbows

And leafy trees-

In This Beautiful World,

Thank God for these!

The latest in our long-running line of top-shelf modern military minifigs, the Special Forces Operator is our best yet. Expertly pad printed and limited to a numbered edition of 500, this fig is for the serious collector. The best part: he comes with an exclusive BrickArms weapon, printed by Citizen Brick!

A Canadian Forces Snowbirds aircraft crashed in Northern B.C. shortly after takeoff Tuesday afternoon. Around noon, the aircraft took off from the North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John, according to a statement from the local airshow society.

"Driving Forces:" Sometimes the forces of nature, or the universe, or whatever, seem to steer our path in different directions than what we initially intended. I took this photo over a year ago, during a road trip that was supposed to encompass parts of California, including Death Valley, Alabama Hills, and further up north to Mono Lake. A sudden, unexpected, late winter snowstorm that lasted a bit longer than even anticipated, ended up preventing me from having time to visit Mono Lake before making it back home in time to return to work. But I enjoyed the extra time spent in Alabama Hills, and have wanted to go back ever since. Here is an image of the last bit of paved road leading into the wild granite formations that dot the landscape of Alabama Hills, with Mt. Whitney in the background getting doused with snow, while the dark, ominous storm clouds loom overhead.

'DEAN' - 'STAVELEY HALL 1940s ARMED FORCES EVENT' - MAY 6TH 2019

Gira fall, near Saputara, Gujrat, India.

And on to my LDD Italians. :) Of course the tanks were HEAVILY influenced by Lego Major. I think only the M/11-39 has not been built completely. The AS-43 is also basically Major's design. I changed some parts from his, but basically just for strength reasons. Of course Sfzdk's Sahariana. Albert's lil CVs were fun to build. A bit more complex than you would think. I could not imagine being in one of those tiny things with bullets flying!! A few captured trucks turned into mobile arty vehicles, and a big ole Breda with the 90-53 autocannone mounted. I had Major Bonacelli's lil L3-35 Tankette built, but apparently the file corrupted. :(

The storm was coming, I knew. First lightning, then came the roar of thunder :)

I'm so happy, getty images got some of my images :)

Have a great day my friends! :)))

It's amazing what nature can do. I have never seen a sight like this before.

People watching lava flowing from the Fimmvörðuháls volcano (april 2010). Reminds us how tiny we can be against the forces of nature.

The HMMWV was designed primarily for personnel and light cargo transport behind front lines, not as a front line fighting vehicle. Like the previous Jeep, the basic HMMWV has no armor or protection against chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear threats. Nevertheless, losses were relatively low in conventional operations, such as the Gulf War. Vehicles and crews suffered considerable damage and losses during the Battle of Mogadishu due to the nature of the urban engagement; however, the chassis survivability allowed the majority of those crews to return to safety, though the HMMWV was never designed to offer protection against intense small arms fire, much less machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. However, with the rise of asymmetric warfare and low intensity conflicts, the HMMWV has been pressed into service in urban combat roles for which it was not originally intended.

Here's the bad guys to the Crown Knights/ Fantasy Era Castle theme. I wanted to rebuild the red dragon, but I couldn't find about half the parts for the life of me.

The Wizard is still a sweet fig to this day, but weirdly enough the gold printing on the Witch's torso has rubbed off over time. I've never seen that happen before but here we are. I'm also amazed I was able to assemble that many skeletons, though you can't tell from this pic just how dilapidated those figs kind of are (also yeah the pirate one's a real fig)

Really I'm just here to talk about how much I love the Orcs and that giant troll. I made a point to rebuild the orcs with the Knight's Kingdom Scorpion Guard helmets cause they were part of the Dwarf Mine, along with that Troll. That set blew my friend's and I's collective minds when it came out, partially because broader fantasy elements were finally being incorporated into this theme we loved so much, and also cause that Troll was the first big-fig to come out since the Harry Potter troll and Hagrid. They eventually did a few more variants, but this is the one that holds a place in my heart.

Anyways, I wish I could find the Troll Witch's actual head. It's here somewhere, probably on somebody weird.

Cheers, all.

Opposite St Joseph's Church on the mountain Kahlenberg in Vienna's north-west is this relief depicting the German-Polish liberation forces of 1683 led by the Polish King John III Sobieski. It was made of clay by the Austrian sculptor Heinz Leinfellner (*1911, +1974) in 1960 on behalf of the municipality of Vienna and is glazed in colour. It forms the end wall of the Viennese Hoehenstrasse (mountain road). For historical details see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vienna .

This was part of 2017 Doors Open Ontario in Guelph. The weather was great and I had a great time wandering around downtown Guelph during the event.

Forces of nature are easy to live with, but they are only one of many we have to wrestle with.

Yesterday I went to UK Investor Show to get my head around what we all agree is object of desire and must have or otherwise ask the state to look after you.

Whichever way I turned my head there were people willing to look after my limited resources.

Nothing new there. What was very aloud and what was my outgoing impression (well stated at the end) the state of financial poker game being blindly played with negative interest and being as society ... fully borrowed into account of next generation. Will the cash machine stop spitting out the notes any time soon ?

Well I think I’m better off behind the lens !

Back to the snap. It was taken last summer in Poland over fast flowing river Bug and it was some sunset too.

The forces between good and evil. Between love and hate. Between letting go and holding on. The forces of nature. Gale force.

A simple image inspired to show that all you sometimes need to create an image is a strip of material and a gale force wind. Oh and some awesome friends who will run around sand dunes with you in some dodgy weather.
