Visite d'Oak Alley et de Laura plantation - NOLA 2018
Laura Plantation is a restored historic Louisiana Creole plantation on the west bank of the Mississippi River near Vacherie, Louisiana, (U.S.), open for guided tours. Formerly known as Duparc Plantation, it is significant for its early 19th-century Creole-style raised big house and several surviving outbuildings, including two slave cabins. It is one of only 15 plantation complexes in Louisiana with this many complete structures. Because of its historical importance, the plantation is on the National Register of Historic Places. The site, in St. James Parish, Louisiana, is also included on the Louisiana African American Heritage Trail.
Alcee Fortier, who later became Professor of Romance Languages and folklore at Tulane University, was said to have collected Louisiana Creole versions of the West African Br'er Rabbit stories here in the 1870s.

Passez a cote des plantations de Whitney, Saint Joseph et Evergreen et apprenez-en plus sur leur histoire grace a votre guide avant d'arriver a Laura, une charmante plantation creole entouree de champs de canne a sucre. Apres avoir admire le manoir, explorez les dependances et les jardins fleuris et potagers luxuriants. Votre visite guidee de 1 heure se termine dans l'une des cabanes d'esclaves ou les legendes d'Afrique de l'Ouest qui ont inspire les histoires de Br'er Rabbit auraient ete enregistrees.
Apres votre excursion a la plantation Laura, remontez dans votre minibus pour le trajet de retour a La Nouvelle-Orleans. Votre experience de 6 heures dans des plantations de Louisiane se termine par un transfert vers votre hotel.

Instead, support Senator Bernie Sanders' Joint Resolution to block $20 billion in U.S. arms to Israel which will be voted on this week or next, and invest in schools, homes and healthcare right here in California.
The march headed towards the senators' offices by way of the Palace Hotel, stopping to show support for the striking workers and to embrace the interconnectedness of their issues.
At Senator Padilla's office, faith leaders and others locked themselves together blocking entrances to the building, while people of all ages painted a giant street mural reading:
