However he is famous for imploring geologists to put down their theoretical models and get their noses down onto the outcrop to test their hypotheses.
At last, proper rocks; cooked and squashed, not those silly sediments that dominate England. After spying something golden and shiny Bluey concludes he's found some pyrite in the quartz veins. It takes a lot to fool this bear.
