Tradition has it that if the painter was unhappy with his pay, he would paint a fool somewhere. This fool's mouth was the hole for the bell's rope.

Title: Fooling Around. Had this great trip last year with my in laws to Kuddudamma temple Davangere district in the forest, lots of bird spotting on the way on a milkvan and after devi darshan. We settled down to have food and had lots of friends to accompany us. There was one alpha male and many females and lots of young ones. Each one of these guys were having loads of fun with the leftovers from the visitors, pulling eachother’s tails, jumping, chattering you name it, they were doing it. However as soon as the alpha male appeared they all jumped to the nearest branch and stayed put there till the male exited the scene. Since its April fools day thought of sharing a portrait of one the young ones. Happy Fools Day Everyone!
