I first was aware of this store when it became a Wherehouse music store. (Wasn't that how they spelled it?--It was a creative spelling.)
It appears it may have been a Milgram or other food store. A flickr pal has confirmed it was a Safeway store, based upon the patterns in the brick on the north-facing side wall, shown here.

This very heavy Indian Chief caught my eye in a food store in Quebec. I think the guy was a little surprise he had it in his stock.

On a drizzling afternoon they were waiting for their mistress outside a foodstore in Chelsea. At one time there were three pugs. Now I see that there are really only one and a half! I say this because sadly the black one must have had a stroke and had his hind legs paralised. These limbs are now helped by a contraption with two wheels which allow the poor creature to secure a certain degree of mobility. Don'y ask more questons it is too sad for words as it reflects the deep attachment, almost to the eccentric between man and animal.
I do not know why but this scene reminds me of a similar one in the movie "A fish called Wanda", except that there we have chihuahuas instead of pugs. But on reflection it could have been that the three pets who were reduced to half a contingent experienced the same incident as in the movie....
Beyond this I cannot help thinking that somewhere the local vet is doing a roaring trade out of all this misery and he may well have to treat very soon the other pug of liver failure.

Pita is a typical Greek Food. You may see many pita food stores in Greece. i enjoyed pita at the beginning. But i had to give up after 10 days....

This was my first attempt to Geotag in Aperture 3 using the "Places" function, like most of the iPhoto features they blessed us with in this version, there're are a lot of room for improvements. Ending up using the Maperture Pro pluging. No dragging an image to a location, one at a time, as in "Places". It batch geotags. Simple, works.
